yeah, the intention may have had potential, but the execution failed miserably. So, the question remains the same as that famous Honnecker quote in the dying years of the . Where did the comrades make a mistake ?

The last of the "Pol Pots" has been sentenced to life imprisonment. He is 91 now and dependent on wheelchair. He was the 5th and the last to be tried for genocide in Cambodia in the late 70s during the Pol Pot crazy "experiment" to turn the country on "agricultural paradise" This was the last judgment of this special tribunal of the Red Khmers and their madness

Nordic Combined 2022 - 2024 Discussion Thread
hckošice replied to Totallympics's topic in Nordic Combined
The International Ski Federation (FIS) is planning changes in tNordic combined. With the obvious goal to keep this sport in the program of the Winter Olympics. Steps to increase popularity were presented at the Forum Nordicum event in Kranjska Gora by World Cup Event Director Lasse Ottesen. From the 2023/24 season, a super sprint, a mass start race or a mixed team competition could be added. There should also be restrictions on equipment for ski jumping and cross-country skiing in order to reduce the dominance of powerhouses such as Austria, Germany, Norway and Japan. Remember IOC canceled this may the planned premiere of the women´s Nordic combined under the five rings, saying that the discipline is losing its attractiveness and they did not rule out its complete deletion in the future. -
Sure, true. We´ll see tonight against what the new Italian cook will serve us for dinner, one thing is certain it can be hardly worse than what we showed under his predecessor

One week in a life of Slovak president... First the news agencies mistakenly identified her life partner as the head of state and she was announced as his delegation during the Queen´s funeral two days later happened this during her speech at the UN general Assembly, the Youtube channel of the UN, confused the Slovak and Slovenian flag emoji I mean this happens so often, than most of Slovaks do not even notice that, but this time ffs it was the United Nations ladies and Gentlemen, United Nations... !!! Now they obviously fixed it, but still our medias are full of this new meme, like this one: One time. Slovak president Juraj Rizman (Our president life partner) Next Time:

Also worth to mention is allowed to compete but their home games will have to be played on neutral place (very likely outside the EU). In the Nations League they played their 3 home games in Serbia, just like our return leg home match will be played next week as well in Bačka Topola (SRB) this time because of ban on issueing visas to belarussian delegation from our governance +Belarus can not play against Ukraine

I don´t like the sleeves, the cut itself as well as the coloring. and I won´t even get started on that falcon on the jersey. I still don´t know which genius came up with that nickname "Falcons" btw.. it has so much in common with Slovakia as camels have with Iceland

and it was indeed also the most successful WCh in history for SVK. The team returned today to the country and had a press conference in the center of the Military Club of Dukla Banská Bystrica, where they all are employed (obviously it is just a cosmetical thing, they never was nor will be actually soldiers or so... but if they will continue to bring such results and god please help, qualify for Paris, I bet their grade (consequently salary) will nicely increase ) The chief of the " Cáp gang " Erik Cáp, the head coach of the team and the man behind this whole project mentioned again the desire to succeed next year in the Paris 2024 Olympic qualification, all the preparation will be focused precisely on the fulfillment of this goal, he also said that it will be surely hard for a small mini-team like ours who has like 5 person behind the athletes to battle against well organized 30-40 members teams of powerhouses but hope we will have the force and luck to qualify and as many as possible The Cáp gang during the press conference after return from Belgrade WCh. from right: Coach and Team "guru" Erik Cáp, Tajmuraz Salkazanov -74kg, Boris Makoev -86kg and Batyrbek Tsakulov -97kg

Our president making fun from the "Faux-pas" of the AP agency The AP agency, which captured the photos from this moment during yesterday Queen Elizabeth II funeral, made a mistake by announcing her partner Juraj Rizman as the president of Slovakia, and our president Zuzana Čaputová was called in the description as his delegation. This error was published only for a few minutes, but even during that small amount of time it managed to became super viral around the whole of Slovakia. However, if you were expecting our president to be offended, the opposite is true. She published a status on her media that really amused many people and immediately became an Internet hit in the country when she wrote: "Congratulations to Juraj ! It's a difficult job for a woman, so how about for a man."
