So at the end 2 silvers and 1 bronze from the Freestyle Olympics events which is obviously amazing, still it was so sad and one really have to feel the pain to see Tajmuraz so disappointed despite winning silver (so unusual from SVK view ) when he talked to our TV, man that sorrowful feeling was all over to feel in the air. Such a humble guy, always polite, always friendly and willing to answer everyone and I really like how he keep improving his slovak every tournament, he speaks now really at native slovak level. He will be always considered as a transfer obviously, but I really like this guy and wish him only the best I seriously hope he will make it to Paris and do something exceptional there for himself and for Slovakian wrestling and sport

Nah, I have nothing against Basketball. Don´t get me wrong, at first view it may probably appear that I tend to look bashing about certain sports but it is not true at all, I love/fan all sports That is just I rarely have the chance to watch them like a Basketball game for example, so when I watch it after a long time I always find it amusing how the last minutes took so long because all the countless timeouts and tactical fouls every 5-6 seconds on both sides the only thing I would cancel is that crazy screeching of the shoes on the pitch, it drives me crazy.

I already said it in the Early Prediction thread and I will repeat it again. who would have thought/bet/believed that best sport in Paris 2024 can be very possibly wrestling ? probably nobody, including me Last wrestler in SVK colours was Musulbes in Beijing 08 where he won also the only SVK wrestling olympic medal since the independence, but after his retirement, the sport has just completely died here That super-ambitious #missionParis2024 project of our Wrestling federation which started a couple of years ago to have 3-4 athletes at the Paris Olympics and win there a medal really looked overly ambitious, slash unrealistic ,double slash utopic, triple slash hilarious, but since last cca 3 years one has to notice that they indeed were going full speed into their goal direction, already that SVK return to the Games with Makoev qualification to Tokyo last year was a first a bit timid sign of change, let see how far they can take that dream

The match will be played in Bratislava so no HC Košice (The Steel Arena owner, asked 2 000 000 EUR for the rent of the arena to the club, justifying it by the high electricity prices, the club obviously temporarily canceled the contract and moved to the small Handball arena for training) asked for special exemption and all rivals agreed, so Košice will play cca the first month all matches away and will hope by this time the situation with the rent will be corrected

Looks the hell must have frozen over NHL apparently refuse to field gimmick teams to the World Cup No more Team Europe or Team North-America (which as you know was a team of U23 North American players). It looks the 2024 World Cup will consist of 10 National teams and with a pre-qualifying round before the main world cup round, with 8 nations making the WC. Slovakia will be apparently invited for the pre-quali round NHL will have a break during the whole tournament, the matches should be played in February 2024 in both N. America and Europe with medal games in Montreal

vs Test match the 27th september will be played in Bratislava You may wonder the surprise I felt after reading the title, to later just find out that national Team actually will have a 10 days special training camp in Slovakia however even more surprising was the fact that they did not select the X-Bionic sphere complex in Šamorín but for some reason they picked Dunajská Streda with local MOL arena (You know that city near the SVK-HUN border, known for their club with let´s call them politely "famous" pro-Hungarian/anti-Slovak oriented fanbase) and booked the whole complex for 10 days Anyway, what a moment for Slovakia to have a WC particpant having a camp here

Anastasiya Kuzmina, Paulína & Ivona Fialková and Jakub Borguľa officially launched with the stored snow for the next season the new track in the biathlon center in Osrblie during today´s official opening. The brand-new asphalt track and several other innovations and improvements at the stadium cost over a million euros and took almost 2 years to be done, however this 2.5-kilometer new track will host the World Summer Biathlon Championships next year. But the most important thing is that the new internationally approved track allows our biathletes to train and prepare in domestic conditions all year round and they will not have to travel abroad for training camps as mentioned Paja to the TV during interview.
