  1. So I know that many of you probably don’t keep up on American news, but there is a truly saddening story I feel the need to share. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS, OR NOTHING CHANGES. So recently in Colorado there was a 9 year old boy that committed suicide. It has come out that over the summer he told his mom he was gay, and she supported his decision as any good parent would. However, the kid felt so accepted and loved by his family that he decided to tell his classmates. His classmates responses were bullying and tuants such as, “you should kill yourself”. Unfortunately, after 4 days of this insanity, that is what Jamel Myles decided to do. He killed himself becuase of the way people treated him. These were kids who convinced Jamel to kill himself, kids! What has my country come to, mass shooting one day, suicide the next, police brutality the day after, and then good old thoughts and prayers to wrap it up from Congress. I know that I am coming to the age where I have the power to speak out, but I find myself worried because of the terrible that have happened. This is forum has been a blessing for me, (finding like me, who share my passions) because I have social issues that stem from early childhood bullying just like Jamel. This issue hits me in the heart, hard. I’ve noticed before some hate speech about the LGBTQ+ community on this forum. I know it’s even forced certain members to hide themselves away, and out of discussions. Now I understand that there are many diverse cultures represented in this forum, but I ask (and demand) kindly that people think about the words they post, before they post them. You never know who many be part of a certain community, group, religion, or people. It would be unfair to them, and to the uniting force of sport, to shame these people for who they are. Sports are for everyone regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, status. etc., or at least should be. So in conclusion let us keep this forum a fun, open, exciting, excepting space for all users and sports fans to enjoy, so that there has to be no more Jamel’s.
  2. It’s interesting to see what each country is interested in at the Asian Games, when I search Asian Games in YouTube in different languages.
  3. For the sake of Asian Games replays, does anyone know any large video/streaming sites besides YouTube? Also, is anyone interested in a 2014 Asian Gsmes Replay list?
  4. The sad thing is that it shouldn’t be a black versus white issue. I share the Africans anger for how whites and European colonists have treated them, but you can’t fight hate with hate, and expect good, peaceful results.
  5. Compensating for apartheid by erasing any farms is just furthering the culture of apartheid
  6. Well, The Republic of China lost
  7. I’m wandering how @Wanderer is spending his birthday

  16. I would imagine that the head covering is part of the uniform
  17. And that’s a home gold for Indonesia in Indonesian martial arts
  18. Time for some Pencak Silat Finals
  19. Sorry, I’m going to have to disagree with you here. There is no worse Amendment in any Democratic constitution in the world than the 2nd Amendment. Sandy Hook, Las Vegas, San Bernardino, Columbine, Florida, Texas, The Pulse, in all these places people were killed by guns, not to mention our own troops killed by the guns we gave to ISIS, Tailiban, etc. I don’t understand why my country is so fixated on guns. Mass Shootings are such a problem that we now give elementary students bulletproof backpacks . Guns don’t stop crime, they cuase it. P.S. Don’t get me started on police misuse of guns to kill harmless black men and hold 87 year old refugees cutting dandelions at gunpoint. End of Rant
  20. I will debut this year for the American jury
  21. Ya never know (especially with these post Soviet athletes)
  22. No gold for Tajikistan or Nazarov!
  23. So at the end of the Men’s Decathlon, all of the athletes seem to have misplaced thier shirts and are posing for photos together to the delight of the crowd
  24. You know, for all the host hi jinx by Indonesian the athletic level of the games has still been amazingly high, so as long as China doesn’t screw it up when they host, I can’t wait to watch it in 4 years again
