But even worse is the fact that football has a fixed amount of teams per continent: apart from 1 team for each of them, the others should be selected on a world level, maybe giving priority to continental qualification. Eventually, since football is the most popular sport on Earth, an idea of a Universal Qualifier like in 3x3 basketball should be taken in consideration

Regarding Italy, considering who and which teams could qualify, I consider as possible flagbearers Egonu, Zaytsev (volleyball), Nibali (cycling), Zaniolo, Gama (football, it is very unlikely Italy qualifies, but in case...). Apart from Nibali, I think that this time Italian flagbearer will come from team sports, and if this is going to be true Zaytsev will be the first choice, followed by Egonu, (with all subsequent consequences of choosing Egonu). Partially, considering that less than 10 of this positions were located in Italy. However, I live in the southern part of Italy where finding a job is sometimes even harder than in the rest of my country and that a lot of positions are absolutely low paid / hyperspecialized / requirements like "living in a fixed distance from the job place" when applying. The real main problem is that I am a rather uncommon chemist, as far as concerns my background: relatively wide, but not specialized. Just to say, in the 2 years following my master degree I was chosen for interviews in 2 of the most prestigious universities in Europe (university of Geneva and ETH in Zurich) but I couldn't fit with any of their requirements and in my opinion this is the thing that is still penalizing me. Plus, I have no scientific publications yet.

Out of my opinion for the Italian situation, looking at EU it seems to be a relatively good result in terms of political stability. I haven’t looked at full results yet, but I think that, paradoxically, the next EU leading coalition will be more shifted to left-wing rather than right-wing, since PPE and S&D will have to look for allies
