juliosilva Agger Vojthas
After some days with the uncertainty if this world championship could be completed, yesterday the last games of the championship were completed with Sweden and skip Edin as the champions. Unfortunately due to the adjusted time schedule, the semifinals and the medal matches couldn't be counted in the prediction contest and it had to end prematurely. After counting the points from the Top 3 predictions, the three medallists of this prediction contest are, @juliosilva, @Agger, @Vojthas. Big congratulation to all three medallists.
With a superior point differential of 13 points to the nearest predictor, @juliosilva secured the gold medal. He was in top of the table through many days and had very solid predictions throughout the contest. This is his first gold of 2021 and his third medal in total already this season. He becomes the first with a complete medal set in 2021 and cement his position as one of the top predictors this year. A huge congratulation with the gold medal. Well-deserved!
In second place and securing the silver medal was @Agger. Being around the top 3 through contest, and with solid points from the Top 3 predictions, he secured himself the second highest spot on the podium. This is his second medal of 2021 and the first of silver. Big congratualtion with a deserved 2nd place and silver medal!
Last predictor on the podium is one who probably came in with big ambition of winning a medal and that is of course none other than @Vojthas. The keen curling enthusiast and curler himself, wasn't in a position of a medal before the counting of the Top 3 predictons, but with a great score of 15 points, he jumped from a place outside the podium to a 3rd place in the final standing and securing the bronze medal. This is his first medal of 2021 and one I assume he really appreciate to have secured. Big congrats with the bronze medal!
The three honourable mentions for this contest will be, @Monzanator, @hckošice and @Henry_Leon. @Monzanator was by the end of the contest firmly in the race for a podium spot and even with a solid 12 points from his Top 3 predictions he just narrowly missed out on winning his second medal this year. Still a very great contest from the always solid Polish predictor. In 5th place came @hckošice. He was long in a position for a medal, but with only collecting 2 points from the Top 3 predictions he unfortunately fell out of the contest for a medal. However, from his reaction earlier in this contest, a 5th place overall seems to be a satisfying result for him. His eyes are now set for the upcoming prediction contests which probably are the most important ones for him personally with the women's and men's ice hockey world championships prediction contests. Will he finally be able to win a gold medal in an ice hockey prediction contest? Only time will tell. Last honourable mention goes to @Henry_Leon who once again had a solid contest and got a 6th place in the final standing. He continues his good 2021 prediction form.
Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contest, and once again, I'm sorry it had to end prematurely. Sometimes things out of our control happens unfortunately. As teased above the next two prediction contests will be the women's and men's ice hockey world championships. The women's will kick-off in the beginning of May and the men's will begin later in May. I hope to see many predictors giving it shot for glory in these contests. Finally, an updated version of the General Standings and the Medal Tables will be published later this week.
That's all from me, your prediction contest manager, Wumo.

Update about the Men's Curling WCF World Championship 2021 Prediction Contest:
It has now become official that the remaining play-off games will go ahead: https://worldcurling.org/2021/04/wmcc2021-update/
They will all be played today in a tight time schedule. Due to the even tighter time schedule now after the postponement, I unfortutanely have to inform that the Semifinals and Medal Matches will not be counted in the standing, as I see it, it would be too short of a notice for all contestants to make their predictions between rounds. It wouldn't be fair to me to expect everybody would be able to make predictions in the middle of night when it's Monday tomorrow. I'm really sorry for all the inconvenience these last days has caused and a prediction contest has to end in such a way.
The top 3 predictions will be counted in the final standing and the complete final standing will be ready at some point tomorrow.
I hope you all will understand this decision, or at least to some degree, and I'm sorry it had to come to this.

Sadly, I don't know the answer.
Never heard about the Eurojackpot. In France we have this thing called Euromillions.
I'm pretty they have it also in Belgium and Switzerland.
So, if i'm correct in thinking that the two lotteries are not held the same countries, I would discard Brugge and Geneva.
Netherlands also maybe, if Belgium is in, Netherlands must be...

EupenM George_D juliosilva
It was a superb performance by the Russian skaters in Stockholm at these world championships. In the prediction contest we also had superb performances and it was a close competition between many predictors. In the end, these three predictors ended with the medals. They are @EupenM, @George_D, @juliosilva. Big congratulation to all three medallists.
On top of the podium and securing the gold medal was @EupenM. With eight gold medals and one perfect predictions through the contest, the numbers speak for itself. This is to my knowlegde the first gold and medal in any prediction contest for the EupenM. It's always fantastic to see new faces among the medallists. He secures France their second gold medal this year. A huge congratulation with the gold medal. Well-deserved!
Securing the silver medal was @George_D. With solid predictions each day and being in the top of the standing, it is a very deserved silver medal for him. It's his second medal this year and the first of silver. Maybe soon he will take a step up on the podium and complete a medal set for this year. Congrats with the silver medal!
The bronze medal was up fro grabs for many predictors. Three predictors ended with the same amount of total points, 57 points in total. But with eight gold medals and one perfect predictions, it was one of the top predictors for 2021, @juliosilva, that secured his second medal of 2021 already by winning the tie-break against @IoNuTzZ and @Dolby. Another great perfomance by juliosilva. He continues his great start of the season. Big congrats with the bronze medal!
The honourable mentions will this time go to these three predictors, @IoNuTzZ, @Dolby and @Gianlu33. Both IoNuTzZ and Dolby were as close as they could get to win a medal by only losing on tie-break. It's very unfortunate when you miss out on a medal on this rule. However both predictors can look back on a great contest and maybe soon they will get their first medal of the season. In 6th-place came @Gianlu33. He needed a really good last day to have a chance for a medal. Unfortunately it wasn't enough this time to come on the podium for the second time in 2021. But another top place for him this year continuing his strong start.
Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contest. According to the original calendar we would have a break for a month now after the women's ice hockey world championship was postponed to early May. But this postponement opened up for having another prediction contest in April. The men's curling world championship will begin this Friday in Calgary, so remember to make your prediction before the deadline and start of the first match.
That's all from me, your prediction contest manager, Wumo.

brunamoura toulousain Henry_Leon
A long an exciting Biathlon World Cup season is now over. The men's world cup was a nail-biter that was decided on the last shooting. Not only was their world cup a close race, also the race for winning this year's Biathlon Manager Game came down to the wire.
By a margin of only 36,5 points, the BMG 2020/21-champion is @brunamoura! She has been in the "yellow jersey" through most of the season but here in the last world cups toulousain has been getting closer and closer for each race. But she can take a sight of relief, as in the end, her team was the strongest one and she can be crowned as this season's champion. Huge congratulations, @brunamoura!
As mentioned above, with a strong finish of the season, @toulousain was close to take the honour from Bruna, but he ended just shy of the top spot. Overall a really strong performance from last season's third-placed manager. This season he takes a step up and improve to a well-deserved second place. Congrats with an impressive season and result from your team, @toulousain!
There was also a very tight race for the last spot on the podium. The race was between @Werloc and @Henry_Leon. Before the last two races, it looked to be Werloc who would take the third place overall. But with a strong performance by Henry_Leon's team, he would come from behind and secure the third place in the last metres. A big congratulation to @Henry_Leon with grabbing the last spot on the honourable podium. However, also a brilliant perfomance from @Werloc and his team this season. Despite being overtaken in the final races, you can certaintly be proud of you and your team's performance.
Lastly I would like to thank all managers who took their time to participate in this second edition of BMG. I hope to see you all and many more for next season. It's your participation and involvement that makes me motivated to continue doing this.
Thank you!
@hckosice, @brunamoura, @Vojthas, @heywoodu, @Henry_Leon, @Werloc, @Fly_like_a_don, @EupenM, @Federer91, @IoNuTzZ, @toulousain, @Monzanator, @SalamAkhi, @RobtheAggie

Gianlu33 Federer91 Speedy
A busy February for the predictors has reached its end. With the Nordic Skiing World Championships prediction contest now completed, the three medallists for this contest can now get honoured. The three medallists are @Gianlu33, @Federer91 and @Speedy. Big congratulation to all three medallists.
On top of the podium is @Gianlu33. As the only predictor reaching a three-digit total with an impressive 103 points in total and only one of four predictors to have two perfect predictions through the contest. It's his first medal of 2021 and Italy's second gold medal already. A huge congratulation with the gold medal. Well-deserved!
In second and securing the silver medal is @Federer91. Him and Gianlu33 was in a fierce battle for the gold medal with switching between which of the two who was on top. In the end it was just not enough for our Bulgarian predictor to be the victor in this battle. Still a very good contest overall with solid predictions and a well-earned silver medal. First of the season for him and Bulgaria. Congrats with the silver medal.
Last spot on the podium goes to @Speedy. After a successful Alpine Skiing prediction contest which ended with a gold medal, he can now proudly receive yet another medal as the first predictor to do so in 2021. It was a close race for the last spot on the podium between many predictors before the final day. With scoring four points and having two perfect predictions and most gold medals amongst all in the contest, it was Speedy who secured the bronze medal by beating @ady48 in a tie-break. Congratulation with the bronze medal.
Honourable mentions will this time go to these three predictors, @ady48, @Henry_Leon and @IoNuTzZ. With five points on the final day, it was almost enough to grab a medal for ady48. But as mentioned above he just missed it due to tie-break rules. However, a very contest for the established Totallympics predictor. In 5th place comes @Henry_Leon. Another very solid contest for the Italian and a very good start to the 2021-season. Might be one of the names to look for in top of the Individual General Standing. The last honourable mention goes to another Romanian predictor, @IoNuTzZ. Despite being one of the few in the top 10 without a single perfect predictions, he scored enough points throughout the contest to get a 6th-place and end in the top of the contest overall.
Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contest. The prediction contests will take a break for the next couple of weeks, but we will be back with the Figure Skating World Championships prediction contest in the end of March. While on the subject, I would like to ask you, the Totalympians, for some help with making the entry lists for this contest. It would be around 12-14 favourites for each event and I would highly appreciate if someone here on the forum would be willing to give some of their time to helping me. You can send me a PM if you are interested to help. Any help I can get would be eminently appreciated. Last thing from me is that the General Standing and Medal Tables will be updated either tomorrow or on Wednesday. There have also been a slight change in the calendar as the Women's Ice Hockey World Championship has been moved to the beginning of May instead of April.
That's all from me, your prediction contest manager, Wumo.

toulousain Monzanator Agger
The third prediction contest of this season has now been contested. Yet again it was three predictors, @toulousain, @Monzanator, @Agger, who all won their first medal in 2021. Big congratulation to all three medallists.
One of last season top predictors, @toulousain, is back on top of the podium. With one of three perfect predictions, the French predictor secured himself yet another gold medal to his Totallympics Prediction Contests collection. A huge congratulation with the gold medal!
Poland secured their second medal here in February with @Monzanator getting the silver medal. Like toulousain, Monzanator was one of the few with a perfect prediction. He was very close to winning a medal in the Men's Handball WCH prediction contest earlier this year. With now his first medal of 2021, he is looking to once again competing for one of the top spots overall. Congrats with the silver medal.
As the predictor with the most correct predicted gold medallists @Agger secured a bronze medal and a 3rd place in the overall standing. The Danish predictor had a great 2020 in Totallympics Prediction Contests. Maybe this the first of many for the Dane this season. Congratulation with the bronze medal.
Here are some honourable mentions. Firstly, a big congratulation with the 4th place to @Gianlu33. Not far from medal fro the Italian predictor, but the 4th place is just outside the prestigious medals. However a very good contest overall for him. In 5th place comes @tuniscof, The last of the predictors besides the top 2 who scored a perfect prediction. He took a big jump up the standing in the last days and got himself a noteworthy 5th place. The last honourable mention goes to anfamiliar name here in the start of 2021. Once again a top place for @juliosilva with a 6th place in the final standing. If he continues to get these great results, his chances to claim a podium spot overall for 2021 are good.
Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contests. One prediction contest left in February and then it's on to March. In the prediction contest poll for March, the short track speed skating WCHs and the figure skating WCHs ended with equal votes. I will make a decision this week which contest it will be. The prediction contest calendar will be updated soon with the prediction contests for the upcoming months.
That's all from me, your prediction contest manager, Wumo.

Speedy Herberth10 George_D
The second and the first winter sports prediction contest of this season has now reached its conclusion. It was a close competition for the medals, but the three medallists are @Speedy, @Herberth10, @George_D. Big congratulation to all three of you.
On top of the podium was @Speedy. With only one of the two perfect predictions in the contest and only one day with 0 points, the road to a gold medal was paved. A well-deserved gold medal. Congrats!
For the second time this season, Brazil secures a silver medal. This time it was @Herberth10. Solid predictions throughout the contest with only one day with 0 points, the silver medal was deserved. Congrats with the silver medal.
The last medallist is our Greek predictor, @George_D. For many days he was just outside the podium, but with Kristoffersen's bronze medal in the Men's Slalom and by winning a couple silver medals to break the tie with 4-placed, @juliosilva, he secured the last spot on the podium. Congratulation with the bronze medal.
Some honourable mentions go to @juliosilva with the unfortunate 4th place. Only losing due to the tie-break rules. So close to winning his second medal this year already. @hckošice ended 5th, but was 2nd before the last day. He was the second predictor who got a perfect prediction, but also many days with no points. A place just outside the top 3 for the Slovak. Lastly a great 6th place for @Kirkpatrick. The predictor with most gold medals, 5 in total, but he was just a couple of points shy of winning a medal overall.
Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contests. A busy February is in full swing with now the Alpine Skiing WCHs and the Biathlon WCHs prediction contests completed. This week a new prediction contest will start. The Nordic Skiing FIS World Championships 2021 prediction contest will have its first medal events on Thursday, the 25th. Don't forget to make your predictions before the deadline, February 25th, 12:15 (GMT +1).

The first prediction contest of this season has now been completed and the first medallists of 2021 have been found.
A big congratulation to the medallists, @Henry_Leon, @juliosilva and @varnoldr
First gold medal of this season goes to @Henry_Leon. In top of the standing through most of the contest and with a solid point difference to the rest. A well-deserved gold medal!
A very deserved silver medal for @juliosilva who was in the top 3 in the last days. It got very close in the end to keep the silver medal, but with one point down to the third place the second place was kept. Congrats with the silver medal.
Last spot on the podium goes to @varnoldr. It has been very long since a Hungarian user has reached the podium in a Totallympics Prediction Contest. Before the final day nothing was guaranteed for the Hungarian predictor, but with solid predictions the bronze medal was secured. Congratulation with the bronze medal.
Some honourable mentions goes to @Monzanator, @Herberth10 and @George_D who gets 4th, 5th and 6th place overall.
Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contests. As mentioned above, this was the first prediction contest of 2021.
