  1. Denmark beating the WR, again Italy also breaking that good old WR from this afternoon, but no final for them
  2. It was already over even before this round ... Ermenault in Wiggins mode British talking about sportsmanship
  3. From 41.87 in Aguascalientes to 41.27 in Berlin Just imagine them now in Cochabamba
  4. Hoogland faster in the third lap than most of the athletes doing the second leg ...
  5. Not yet Remember Kenny was in 13.5 two or three months ago ...
  6. Hey Nicholas Paul is only 21, don't count him out yet
  7. Of course, but surely the track helped her wipe out the WR, even Bayona did
  8. Not very good from Landerneau here ... 13+ 42.5 in the final with Lafargue I reckon
  9. Yeah Kelsey Mitchell is now the WR holder on the 200m flying start (helped by the altitude of Cochabamba though)
  10. Kenny was struggling, 13.5 two months ago ... now 12.9 He will be in 12.5 in Tokyo, nothing new under the sun Can we also talk about the 12.06 from Lavreysen ?
  11. Pursuit qualifies for Madison which itself qualifies for Omnium, so Pursuit qualifies for Omnium, mathematics
  12. We lost this qualification in Pruszkow alone ... The last kilometer of the qualifications prevented the team from playing a medal in Tokyo
  13. New French Record, first time under 3.50 but probably no Olympics Nothing makes sense ... The men can play for a medal here and even in Tokyo but won't be qualified, whereas the women seem far away from the rest of the field but will make it to Japan
  14. 4.21.5 what is this time ffs ? We are not gonna make it into the first round At least Belgium was even a bit worse so we get the qualification
  15. The postponement of the HK tournament will probably change the shape of this qualifier ... Japan though didn't seem imperial, as one could have expected them to be, given their (unfair) extra World Series experience and their roster. The fact that the qualifier will now take place AFTER the Olympics could even strengthen the chances of their opponents, since their main target will be done by HK and considering how the Japanese program have been erratic these past four years ... HK staying true to themselves, not very impressive but always in the last four, still lacking a tiny bit of something to get the win. Germany in the same vein : strong, physical, powerful, athletic ... you get it, not the most beautiful team but surely pragmatic ... well, German Could be the favorites this time. Chile and Uruguay my favorite sides, a fierce defense combined to a tonic attack, benefiting from their home support this time around. Tonga close to the Samoan model, solid team but they have not yet performed as we could expect them to ... And finally Uganda and Zimbabwe , two athletic squads but much like PNG they lack some control over essential matters, especially Uganda which nearly lose all their line-outs ... crucial in this game.
  16. One hell of a final between Japan and Uruguay in Montevideo by the way ... 0-0 at HT, 0-0 at FT, 0-0 at the end of the first ET, and eventually Japan snatching the win away from the locals after more than 25 minutes of play

  18. 1 vs 7 or 8, 2 v 7 or 8, 3 v 5 or 6 ...
  19. Great exemple of overcorrection since épée is the adequate word But yes, complicated ... we need a great result (>20 over Estonia, so basically a final) and a great result from i nostri amici transalpini
  20. Nope, 44 points is the deficit, so too much for this time (even considering the worst results). But a good leap forward
