  1. Btw, 10:00 was not possible.....because the Dutch team and the referees had their flight scheduled by then Oh the joys of barely professional sports
  2. Apparently there are three options: - The match will be played in January in Spain (1) or the Netherlands (2) - IIHF will decide who wins
  3. What if someone is 6cm offside and people start with 'yeah but that's only 1cm outside of what's allowed, come on.."?
  4. I heard that. Give it, now.
  5. Oh boy. Teenage skiing sensation Henry Sildaru suffers torn ACL
  6. This, on the other hand, is the excruciating typical image people have here of the forced thought of having to spend at least one of the days with family (don't really need to understand much Dutch for it)
  7. And Mikuru Suzuki had a serious chance for the first ever women's win, but threw it away. Awesome 151 finish early on and a great comeback from 2-0 down, but Richardson finally held his cool. Sort of.
  8. Before eventually finishing it off. Cross out, Smith out, damn
  9. Dear Lord, 6 pages or so overnight. Just before going to read everything: it's someone sucking Trump's dick vs someone who doesn't? Because if so, I can save myself the time of reading that
  10. Apparently the decision to continue NED - ESP at 10.00am today has been changed to no decision at all being made yet, so we'll wait and see. The problem happened while the Zamboni was working in the first break: it pulled a long 'hole' in the ice According to the Dutch guy there I'm in contact with, after one hour of waiting there was not a single beer available anymore around Camp Nou, captain Joey Oosterveld was man of the match for NED and the Spanish MotM was 'not the ice master'* *in Dutch it's ijsmeester (literally 'ice master'), I don't know the correct English term for whoever is in charge of the ice.
  11. Probably more exciting than the matches before
  12. No way there's live updates in Dutch media about it Someone on the main Dutch internet community is in Barcelona for the OQT but I haven't heard from him yet today.
  13. Not the best World Cup of all. Bad falls in the men's keirin all over the place, half the women's omnium field went down hard in the scratch (more than half even, I think), Edmondson was fighting for the omnium win in the points race and crashed out, taking a Taiwanese rider with her who seemed to be hurt pretty bad. Way too many accidents for my liking and that's while knowing these things happen on the track.
  14. That's because he's got a, let's say, healthy Pacific posture
  15. Yeah my surprise is not "He's born on Guam but competes under US flag", it's "There's a player born on Guam at the world championships" And about Aruba: it sort of depends on the status of the parents apparently, the main thing I saw is that a child born on Aruba from married parents - at least one of which having the Dutch nationality - is automatically a Dutch citizen.
  16. Danny Baggish playing against Andy Boulton now....Baggish is playing under the American flag and is born....on Guam
  17. Deleting a photo from a quote took me literally two actions on my phone: tap the picture so it's selected, tap the delete button (the one you use for example to remove the previous letter when making a typo).
  18. Test. That was easy, on my phone.
  19. Bulgaria badly needs their own Van Barneveld
  20. Thing is, Van Barneveld would throw himself into the same "life is useless" pit even if he plays an awesome last tournament and loses out in the final....there's no end. I do hope the same thing as always happens: depressed as can be after a loss but later focussing more on personal matters - like his grandchild.
  21. That was an epic fight from Doll, I've rarely seen anyone in any sport go that deep and just completely tear himself apart Doll's last lap was the perfect example of exactly what sports is about. He would have deserved it, but JTB was just a bit too good, which is impressive in it's own right.
  22. Sure, but where is Palau?! I don't see a Micronesian biathlete entered neither!
  23. President stealing the big moment of lifting the trophy
  24. De zure Spanjaarden op Twitter zijn ook wel grappig trouwens.
