  1. Sigh. No, it won't 'stop working'.
  2. How is a 2-minute video of some kid 'singing' in a shop a 'meme'? I mean, what do people do with it, apart from watching it? It's not like you post that in response to someone or something.
  3. There's maybe 5-10 I've ever heard of.. Makes me think about a 15-year old kid who gets a chance to study with us and who's always on his phone in the free moments just scrolling through random images with some random text. "No these are memes", he says, while not even letting out a single smile at them.
  4. Still there's no way in hell I'd put any money on KJT winning on odds that reflect these percentages About Semenya: I guess that's not taking into account the whole CAS/whatever thing? It's a nice way to show how someone's best results only don't always mean that much, especially the 100m is a good example: Divine Oduduru was fast as hell in the college races, but very disappointing when it got overseas, international and actually big. Based on those fast college times (like so many college sprinters) he gets a very high chance of winning the gold, even though in reality this chance is probably way, way lower.
  5. That would free up some much needed time in my schedule, at least
  6. What's with two finals not being held?
  7. First run in Val d'Isère has been postponed from 09.30 to 11.00 because of the weather (mostly the wind), second one from 13.00 to 14.00. A little annoying, since the women's super-G starts at 10.30
  8. Too bad the live stream didn't have session one of today yet... Maksel and Perkins did start in the repechages, Awang did not. Hopefully he's alright..
  9. It doesn't take place on Christmas, Hanukah really is not a thing in this part of the world and there's a whole boatload of worldwide sports on New Years. If you don't know that last one, which I suppose you actually do since you're not living under a rock, you really need to work on your sports knowledge. Enjoy the 2020 World Championships or don't
  10. Yeah he is generally not much liked
  11. Jelle Klaasen started by beating Kevin Burness, after which Kim Huybrechts kicked out young Geert Nentjes. Luke Humphries then beat South Africa's Devon Petersen, who went from a fit dancing darts player to a fat dancing darts player. Klaasen returned for his round two match against Michael van Gerwen, who had a hard time but ended up beating Klaasen despite not even throwing 100+ average (which is years ago for him at the World Championships). Van Gerwen once again didn't hide his feelings for Klaasen, starting by not shaking his hand before and after the match and in the interview being clear: "Of course we hate each other....or at least I hate him."
  12. "Some" big-bellied guys he says Here's a John Henderson for you
  13. But...Tim Singer?
  14. Or the next 10 seasons.
  15. Wasn't this a really good performance by Slovakia? The odds for Finland not to win in regular time were 20+ and bookmakers were expecting 11-12 points margin instead of only 2
  16. Caitlin Nash and Natalie Corless qualified for the doubles World Cup race in Whistler by finishing 11th in the Nations Cup (ok, there were only 11 sleds)...they are 16 years old and as you might have guessed, they are girls! That is really, really, really, really long ago women competed in the doubles in the highest level https://www.fil-luge.org/cdn/uploads/rlncdoubles-34.pdf
  17. Yeah I stopped following it when it was 3-0 after four minutes or so Ice hockey powerhouse Mexico brought down 17-1, haha! Nobody can stop us!
  18. It's probably up to the individual managers. I mean, one of the main things of a game like this is discuss - during/around the competitions - who is doing well for your time, isn't it?
  19. Are we supposed to not see each other's teams during the entire season?
  20. That seems to work. Annoying for now, because every post with a quote means unnecessary scrolling, but for now, fine.
