  1. Korea leading a World Cup biathlon relay, now there's a rare sight.
  2. Westvold Hansen apparently blew it big time in the first 2km (or she fell later on, who knows, with this goddamn IOC/whoever is responsible and their lack of decent streaming of their so-called big youth event) Lisa Hirner surprised Jenny Nowak, who only got bronze even.
  3. Westvold Hansen is on fire, 2km in and already in with the top-5 lead group after making up almost half a minute.
  4. Asia got more than half of today's shorttrack medals, oh wow what a surprise.
  5. I'm really happy with New Zealand's performances here. They have more than just the 'baggy pants on the ankles and whatever looks 'cool' gets good points' kind of events, as Campbell Wright and Ethan de Rose (and of course Alice Robinson in the World Cup) are showing
  6. Of course, she's got to check out the competition It's so good to see there was this rare moment where the IOC had a clear moment and did not add the women's Nordic combined to the Olympics. It should definitely be there, but definitely not yet, and pretty much all of the best women competing in the Youth Olympics is enough proof of that.
  7. Meanwhile pretty much the entire top of the world in women's Nordic combined is getting ready for the cross-country battle for gold (in only 4km...). The only one missing is the American who's a gazillion years older than all the other girls she's generally beating
  8. No idea how I got to Serbia, I didn't even look at the flags but just somehow had in mind she was Serbian
  9. Serbian Dalila Jakupovic was leading in the 1st qualifying round earlier this week, but collapsed due to the smoke from the fires there. Not sure about the situation around the area now, but if it didn't get better, it's just a matter of waiting for more players to get in serious health trouble.
  10. Damn, that was an expensive mistake for Janka
  11. I went looking at the Youth World Cup results but totally missed them
  12. How on earth did I overlook Nash/Corless for the luge doubles silver question? I mean, they were pretty impressive in the World Cup, relatively speaking...
  13. And doesn't Beijing have an A license? Or just not yet? Since they're getting a World Cup in the pre-Olympic season (and well, the Olympics ).
  14. Lenzerheide definitely should get a World Cup though, at least a good shot at it. Facilities are excellent, it's (relatively, for a biathlon venue) easy to reach.
  15. Seeing her name made my heart jump for a bit, until I realized Noriaki's daughter is only two years old or so https://www.lausanne2020.sport/results/nh/en/Participant/ParticipantInfo/b4dbced0-916e-41d7-9253-66a072870e5a
  16. Right, 'lower the start to the Alpine Combined start'. At least the Hundschopf is still in, but no Russisprung, no Traversenschuss
  17. Goddammit, not the Lauberhorn Where is the reserve start, still before the Hundschopf I hope...?
  18. Duda 1 - Taynara 0 That probably decides the battle over three events
  19. Both Brazilian girls underway in the cross, let's go!
