  1. Ireland sits in 20th by the way, with only Andorra as potential threat from behind, realistically speaking. Spain and Japan are still a possibility in terms of looking ahead. Hopefully Brian Kennedy can stay under 300 points in the list and get the second ticket TMW is earning.
  2. Why would Greece be able to score points for their 5th skier if only three results per country count? And let's hope Jaque can have a great race and increase that 9 somewhat
  3. Just saw a handmade men's nation's ranking passing by. The top-26 seems fairly safe, under that it's as follows: 27 BLR 479 28 ROU 445 29 ARM 306 30 SVK 283 31 BUL 238 32 THA 202 33 BIH 172 34 KOR 170 35 BEL 142 36 CRO 140 37 SRB 120 38 TUR 117 39 GRE 108 40 NGR 73 41 BRA 68 42 HUN 52 43 ARG 45 44 DEN 32 45 LIE 16
  4. Wait, there are people annoyed over it's succes or even thinking the medals are surprising? What's next, "wow I didn't expect the Swedish women to win a sprint gold!"? Sure, Klinec being the one winning the gold took me by a bit of surprise, but the fact that it was a Slovenian winner....not so much, considering recent weeks
  5. No, they are the only three (two, actually, Mika is either already on her way home or will be in the next few days). And yeah, but you know. Reasons
  6. It would not be enough yet to pass Thailand by the way, probably. Assuming the main race will again have roughly 70-80 starters.
  7. Oh damn Had totally not thought about that at all, might be a bit of a game changer
  8. I'm not counting the qualification race, I'm 99% sure it doesn't count for the nation's ranking. It'd be weird if it did, since there is no specific points table for it and using the World Cup one (i.e. maximum points for the win) seems fairly unrealistic and unfair Brazil doesn't have multiple skiers in the interval race or did we all miss something?
  9. - That is correct, sorry. It's really a lot of work to make the ranking and keep track of it, I'm afraid I don't have the specific interest for the men which I of course do for the women... - The way I understand it, it's finished after this season, meaning after the last WC race of this season (which should be the one in Engadin in March)
  10. Disclaimer: my calculations might very well not be exactly correct. The battleground states in the women's nation's ranking after today: I really wonder, and it's of rather big significance, whether or not Thailand, Australia and Armenia (and South Korea/Lithuania, sure) will send someone to the Engadin World Cup (if allowed, which is another question)...if they don't, that is absolutely Brazil's chance.
  11. Remco Evenepoel and Wout van Aert have been chosen to represent Belgium in the Olympic time trial. No Victor Campenaerts, although he is the first reserve.
  12. Looking at earlier in the season, USA is kind of disappointing and of course Norway is definitely missing, but other than that it's a fairly unsurprising result today. Not often you see an expected result while still having had a fun final
  13. Circumstances or not, an exchange is no exchange if there's no physical contact.
  14. Hadn't noticed before but Victor is having some pandemic hair
  15. Lagler should've done better. I mean, the uphills are like one step for him.
  16. To be fair, Manex really is one or two levels higher than any other Brazilian man, so that's not entirely unexpected
  17. Yeah I'm definitely going to triple-save this recording
  18. I believe I could hear her yell "We did it!!!" in Jaque's ears
  19. I can just see Bruna's shints exploding but she's finishing this damn race I am so proud!
  20. And there was Jaque 200 meters ahead of the Swedish going into the exchange where Bruna was waiting, not lapped
