  1. Sure, but she was simply the best overall skier this season. People are surely going to disagree with that, but I don't much care and think she's the deserved champion anyway.
  2. Yeah, Khanty-Mansiysk a few years ago. That was quite something indeed.
  3. Assen 18-19 April and Imola 9-10 May will give a pretty good indication as well, since both WSBK and MotoGP are Dorna events.
  4. It's not sports, but the E3 has been cancelled, which is a rather big deal in game world.
  5. Sorry for spreading this virus but I had to do something to make this happen
  6. That last October weekend though Starting the day in the middle of the night with Moto3, followed by Moto2 and MotoGP in Australia. Then it's on to World Superbikes, World Supersport, World Superbikes and World Supersport 300 races in Jerez and then in the evening we go to Formula 1 in Austin
  7. After USA was moved earlier, Argentina being moved today means Valencia is also moved back yet another week, now to November 29th. The new schedule is on Wikipedia, for people who like a table format: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_MotoGP_season About Jerez: World Superbikes has just announced their weekend there, which was supposed to be in a little over two weeks from now, has been rescheduled to October. The French round has been moved backward one week from late September to early October to avoid clashes with MotoGP and all that. https://www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2020/Updated 2020 WorldSBK calendar for remaining rounds
  8. Plus Norwegian authorities already hinted pretty strongly at cancelling events like this and the entire Holmenkollen Festival was already held mostly without spectators, so it would simply be perfectly in line with the current reality.
  9. 500+ cases now, with 5 elderly people who died. In one of the provinces (with 200 or so cases) events with a lot of people have been either cancelled or will be held without spectators (like Indoor Brabant, equestrian), in the other eleven provinces it's basically business as usual.
  10. "I have facts" "Ok, tell them." "No because nobody wants to listen, but I have facts!" "I'm all ears, please share them." "No, the morons are talking loud enough, I won't share anything!" Ugh.
  11. Plus he forgot one has to drench the cotton bails in oil. Obviously.
  12. The Spanish flu didn't cause that many mass cancellations, correct. If it did, we might have been a lot less familiar with it nowadays since it might have caused way less damage. Cancelling events now is, sadly, simply the only sane way to go. If and how organizers of leagues determine champions now is a different matter.
  13. I ended up elbow bumping the two people I met for an interview this morning. So goddamn awkward but they initiated this rite.
  14. Do you guys just say hello nowadays when meeting new people instead of shaking hands? Elbow bumps have been the hype here but that seems so childish and so far I've been able to avoid them
  15. The History of Ski Jumping was pretty interesting.
  16. Anyone knows why all of a sudden IBU has no more race highlights on their YouTube channel? They've had that for basically every single IBU Cup race for years, including this season, but the past few weeks it's only been 'Competition reaction' which I just don't care about
  17. I really should not have read his Wikipedia page and just left the myth alone
  18. Good idea, if performed well this could bring one religious institution down
  19. @dcro Indoor Brabant is pretty much confirmed as going ahead. Which is slightly interesting, because Brabant is the hardest-hit province here and the province where people have been told to mostly try and work from home if possible.
  20. The most common ones are of course the head-to-head (athlete A vs B) and the number of missed shots (over/under per athlete and head-to-head), although most bookmakers don't have anything more than simply 'who wins?'.
  21. But not on 'will it happen?', because then it's a yes/no bet I've been betting for 10 years, this is something I actually know
