  1. This part had so much shuffling around all the time Songs went from 2nd to 10th and back again and everything in between.... The Netherlands Ireland 11 Denmark 10 New Zealand 9 Germany 8 Czech Republic 7 Italy 6 Mexico 5 Portugal 4 Ukraine 3 Canada 2 Spain 1
  2. The Netherlands Goedemorgen vrienden van Totallympics! Het is de mooiste tijd van het jaar, tijd voor TISC! Namens de Nederlandse delegatie wens ik iedereen een hele fijne dag, maar eerst zijn hier de Nederlandse stemmen: Good morning Totallympic friends! It's the most beautiful time of the year, TISC time! On behalf of the Dutch delegation I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful day, but first we have the Dutch votes: Denmark 10 New Zealand 9 Germany 8 Czech Republic 7 Italy 6 Mexico 5 Portugal 4 Ukraine 3 Canada 2 Spain 1
  3. It seems thatt things are getting a bit more realistic for now that the World Cup is getting closer, but still quite alright. https://www.ibsf.org/en/component/events/event/502059
  4. You don't need any followers or something to simply be able to stay in touch with the people back home
  5. It's not really news, but I had no idea where else to ask it, so here we go. Is there any news on whether or not China will allow the thousands of athletes to use their regular social media in the Olympic village or something? On one hand I can imagine there being some relaxation of rules for such a huge and incredibly international event, on the other hand it's China, so it's hard to get a sense on it... @Vic Liu Have you heard anything about this by any chance? In my case it's of course mostly about how to stay in touch with @brunamoura if she qualifies, since she'll be there for three weeks or so in that case. We generally use WhatsApp, but yeah....
  6. This is the farce that is the mass start: half the time nobody, including the riders, has a clue what the fuck is happening. Not even the clear winner knew he'd won until a while after the finish. The riders don't know what's going on. The referees have no clue what to do and don't even follow their own rules (it was specifically stated that any rider who is lapped, will be out of the race from that moment on...Japanese dude lapped half the field and nobody was pulled out). Commentators barely follow what's happening. But it's hip and urban version of the marathon, for sprinters, so it's Olympic. Because short.
  7. Well if I knew that I wouldn't have gone with a Dutch language entry No I would, because I just wanted to share a song I really enjoy even though I'm fairly confident understanding Dutch is a large prerequisite to enjoy it
  8. Anything that fits the host is fine with me, although since it's Sunday tomorrow, I'm not sure how much attention I'll be able to pay...
  9. Since I'm 4th in the voting order, should I set an alarm for tomorrow morning or what?
  10. No way, there is way too much going on on a regular Sunday to be able to give much attention to TISC, and after an intense day like a Grand Final-day, immediately going straight to sleep and then work is just...meh
  11. As long as I know what time to post my votes tomorrow.... I'll be out for a bit after midday, but with voting position 4 (4! ) that should not be a problem I suppose.
  12. At least a happy reason for her! You know, timing....but yeah, things happen Svahn though
  13. This link should clear that up: https://www.government.nl/topics/c/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/mandatory-negative-test-results-and-declaration/rules-when-changing-planes Specifically this part: Just in case he would suddenly need a test for his stopover (which I doubt because of the information above), here you can see that one of the requirements is that it's not older than 48 hours before departure from, in this case, Brazil: https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/mandatory-negative-test-results-and-declaration/information-on-the-test-result And considering he is going to take a test anyway, I would assume the stopover won't be a problem (mainly because a test is not required, the way I read it, but also because if it is, he will have what I assume is a valid one).
  14. Thanks. I did see there is an exception for athletes, the federation is working on an invitation from the event they're planning to compete it. Also, the federation is convinced that the quarantine thing simply means they can not leave Livigno (instead of their apartment), even when presented with the actual link to the Italian website saying "address"...they might be a bit too optimistic and refusing to look closely at the rules, but what else is new...
  15. A proof of vaccination being enough would be good, she got into the Netherlands with that last week, so it should be just as acceptable in another country. She'd be able to get the EU certificate with a bit more time, but one needs a European social security number to do so and that will arrive only in a week or two (we registered at city hall today, so it's in the process of being 'made'). It does seem that the main thing is the fact that she left Brazil on 2 November. Brazil is on 'List E' and there's a thing about having been in a List E country in the 14 days prior to entering Italy making things potentially problematic.
  16. I hope she breaks that record, although I highly doubt it's at all realistic We'll see when the main season gets underway though, it would be truly insane (and awesome!!) progress if she gets close to top-10 results
  17. To Italian users: could you help out in getting through the maze of Italy's entry restrictions? Bruna has a flight going from the Netherlands to Italy (to go to Livigno for training, and later in the month for cross-country competitions) on 15 November, she arrived from Brazil in the Netherlands on 3 November and now has a Dutch residence permit (if that matters). The Italian Ministry of Health's website is a bit of a maze for me, especially after getting used to the Dutch government having a website where one simply goes through a series of short questions (When are you coming, from where, and so on) and ends up with a list of exactly what is needed to enter the country. The rest of the team is coming Sunday, directly from Brazil, which might be even more problematic I think...no idea if they've even thought about that but I would be very unsurprised if they didn't.
  18. Obviously it's not necessarily wasting time, it really depends on the athlete and their respective programs. Plenty of athletes would benefit from more training, whereas others would benefit more from simply any form of racing rhythm, no matter the exact format of the race.
  19. Bit of a boring final race, but yeah, Larson absolutely destroyed the competition this year And it wouldn't be the tiny bit 'fake feeling' of NASCAR if the entire Championship 4 didn't finish in the top-4 Edit: I just see that Blaney passed Elliott in the end, wow.
  20. That does sound like an excellent change though Prison sentences simply for possessing a bit of weed is madness...especially when tobacco or alcohol is fine.
  21. Especially with these margins and in a field that's actually quite decent! Any idea why the men's results aren't there yet?
