    But she'll make it through rankings anyway, so the win-win situation for us here would be Erdelji winning: Serbia gets a quota and Netherlands will get a ranking quota

    The World Superbikes are in Assen, The Netherlands this weekend, so I'll be there tomorrow to watch race 1 of the weekend hoping Michael van der Mark can fight for a podium like last year (Sunday there is just way too much sports on tv, so I prefer staying at home )

    Two Turks already lost today, so at least they aren't letting them win against all costs I'm guessing that will of course change now against Dutch Müllenberg

    Women's cross-country skiing is more boring in terms of which nation wins I prefer to look at it in a different way. For example, Dutch Britt Eerland is learning incredibly much from constantly playing with Li Jiao and Li Jie, a ton of things she would have never learned if she would have played in a team with only "real" Dutch players.

    Just out of curiousity, which of the Chinese-born players (or players with a Chinese name) actually are "bought"? Because 100% sure not all of them are.

    Exactly. The whole point of "is she a refugee?" is irrelevant in this situation, she was a refugee. The whole issue is the Belgium quota thing and I think that's going to cost her a place at the Olympics (because now that she's Belgian, I doubt IOC has grounds to let her compete in the Refugee Team?).

    About Asemani: the Flanders Sports assocation surprisingly replied my email and said that there is no doubt about her participation in future European and World Championships (for Belgium), but as far as they know, there is no official decision on her going to the Olympics for Belgium yet.
