  1. Just to move this here No, not a word! I sent her a message on Facebook and the same for the Guamese shooting federation, both read it but didn't reply. That's not how you treat fans!
  2. Interesting race anyway, all 5 Gambian competitors finished outside the time limit in the first, one and a half hour stage
  3. I'm confused about these points, but how many would UAE have had if Otakuziyeva missed that last attempt?
  4. Thanks! I'll get to work on updating the list after the weekend. I'm not sure about Otto, mostly because he hasn't even been competing since 2014..
  5. And in the end, this is the most important point of view. If she doesn't feel the motivation for XC anymore and apparently already has that in mind for a long time, staying in XC would only make her less motivated to train hard, making her results less, making her motivation even worse and so on. If biathlon gives her back her motivation to give everything for her sports career, it's the right choice
  6. Stage 4 of the Tour of Senegal earlier this week was cancelled......because the riders and police got lost in the final kilometers African sports organization at it's best
  7. If Brazil even qualifies for the QF, which definitely isn't a given
  8. The World Cup in Hyeres these days will decide the Dutch boat in the women's 49erFX. Bekkering/Duetz are world class and perform way better than Keijzer/Blom in basically every major competition. However, Keijzer/Blom performed better in some internal qualification and so they have the main right to take the quota. However - again - Keijzer/Blom did NOT yet comply with the national standards set by the Dutch Olympic Committee, whereas Bekkering/Duetz already did so a million times. Basically the result is this: if Keijzer/Blom reach the national standard in Hyeres, they'll go to Rio. If not, Bekkering/Duetz will go to Rio. To do so, Keijzer/Blom have to be in the top-6 of the standings - counting only one boat per nation and counting the other Dutch boat. If they don't make it, Bekkering/Duetz will go. Me and other Dutch fans are very much hoping Keijzer/Blom don't make it, because they didn't have any impressive result so far, whereas Bekkering/Duetz are world class by now. With them we could win a medal, with Keijzer/Blom we'd need a miracle to medal.
  9. +75kg group B just finished with the snatch and surprise surprise, one UAE girl is actually 1kg ahead of the girl from Iraq Edit: Never mind, the UAE girls are the only ones in +75kg, the rest is acting in 75kg which they combined because of the lack of competitors
  10. Bruna Moura and Gabi Neres will represent Brazil for the first time ever at this year's Summer Biathlon World Championships in Otepää, Estonia Also, if qualifying for the biathlon World Championships in Hochfilzen doesn't happen, they'll go to the Nordic World Championships in Lahti if they reached the qualifying standards for those championships
  11. That's a shame, I'd love if UAE actually pulls it off, just to show the flaw in this system
  12. They can probably add an 8th and 9th place in +75kg to that, so I think they're going to end up just short of a quota.
  13. Never mind, it magically came back immediately after my post Weird stuff going on
  14. What happened to the list of threads with recent posts? Last week I saw that on the mobile site as well, now it's gone.
  15. The article says a lot of German XC skiers had a shooting training in 2012, when it wasn't looking good for German biathlon after Neuner's retirement. Herrmann says "it didn't go that bad actually". She also says she knows it's a surprising time to make the change, but she has been thinking about it for a while now. Indeed, Aymonier wasn't exactly consistent, but she did show that she has the talent to fight for top-20 in the World Cup standings if she manages to get consistent. I think Herrmann can do the same if she manages to get her shooting under control. In any way, I'll be paying very close attention to the first IBU Cups to see how she's doing in shooting...her skiing speed is beyond major doubt I think. Apart from that it seems that the main issue for the change is motivation. If she just isn't motivated anymore to do only XC, it would be useless to keep trying it. Sure, her Olympic chances would be way better of course, but don't underestimate how hard it is to be focused almost every day of the year on training and being fit...then imagine you're doing that for a sport you're just not so motivated for anymore (XC). If biathlon feels like a new and fun challenge for her, she should do it
  16. The good thing is Celia Aymonier made quite a good impression in her first season of biathlon. I'm not expecting Herrmann to reach 90% shooting of course, but if she can for starters get it up to a consistent 75-80% in her first season, good things might be possible for her.
  17. Slalom canoeing: Do we already know which Germans will be in Rio, so whether or not Tasiadis/Aigner will be there or not? Track cycling: Same question about Förstemann and Levy. I know the German team sprint of course qualified, but how about these specific athletes? Equestrian: Is Langehangenberg being out something official yet and if so, is it because she is performing "bad" nowadays or is she retired or something? Asking because if she is retired, I won't put her in the list, but if she is simply performing at a too low level, I will.
  18. Any news on Oldershaw/Van Koeverden/Giriard yet? I mean, anything official?
