    Isn't LOL a bit outdated? But it's always so magnificent how you know everything about everything. Yes, the conflict is pretty old, but does that make it okay to use an anthem from one of the darkest times in Spanish history (in which Catalonia was pretty oppressed)

    There is no such thing as simple and easy history. Therefore I will not take a stand to anything other than that a people should of course never be oppressed before I know more about it!

    I would love an independant (and completely official) Palestine. Sadly some people on both sides of the conflict won't be calm before the other one is completely destroyed. I don't know enough about the history of the Rohingyas to say whether they should have an independant country, but they should without the slightest bit of doubt be helped.

    This is not "every minority". This is a minority who has been a permanent part of the area for hundreds if not thousands of years, who has been oppressed several times and even promised referendums a couple of times without getting them (even the Iraqi constitution stated that a referendum was to be had in contested areas (like Kirkuk) no later than december 31st 2007. Lots of borders in the arab world are pretty arbitrary and even stupid, usually made throughout the colonial eras without much consideration about who lived there.

    Well. It's from our time as a colonial power. But in my opinion they're more than welcome to vote for independence. I doubt it will happen and I don't see it working out for them Most of them are pretty new in Denmark. The Kurds in the area aren't. Come on...

    Could be interesting for Denmark if Simon Andreassen keeps on riding it Seb Coe wants cross-country running as well Personally I would love an elimination race in long track speed skating

    The problem is that the World Rankings only have 16 countries so far. Rather interestingly Singapore and Romania are both major contributors (Next year's Worlds are also in Romania), while the rest are bigger winter sports countries

    It could also give you a spot as no. 22 on the men's world rankings is Dutch (former Olympic Speed skating champion Jochem Uytdehaage)!

    It's pretty much the only thing they could have done. 4 more years in government would've been political suicide.

    Not much of a surprise. He has long shown disinterest in lightweight rowing (and it seems like IOC aren't too fond of it as well). That's terribly sad for the universality of the sport.
