Damn it. I was just getting ready -
Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 Sports Programme

Sure, but yeah... Break dancing... I've been pretty supportive of the idea with being able to select sports for a single Olympics, but this just ruins it for me. -

Winter Olympic Games 2026 Bid Process

Sure. But luckily they've shown plenty of times before that they're capable of hosting major events without cock-ups -

Well. Åre has been struck by a good oldfashioned time of freak weather... -
Don't you mean Akeem Hunt?

A slightly funny story to those who have seen the Super Bowl commercials, especially the Burger King one ( @phelps, @Olympian1010 and others): It was shot by the Danish director, journalist and cycling commentator Jørgen Leth for the movie "66 scenes from America". Leth tells that they had bought 3 different burgers for Warhol to select from. He actually wanted a 4th, from McDonalds, but it would take too long to get it, therefore he settled on the Burger King burger. You could therefore call it advertizing for McD, if you know the story

For me, there are 2 ways to do it. 1: Making the show (personally I don't care much about choreography and big special effects, they often feel empty for me. I prefer the more personal and spontaneous artists, but I know what you mean and know that a lot of people agree) 2: Making the recognisable. The legends. This could both be pop (like Madonna) and rock (Springsteen, Stones, Macca and so on) It's a matter of considering what's important, as there are both the young and the more mature and I guess more and more money is in the hands of those who prefer the younger music. Personally I keep dreaming. Could be artists like Metallica, AC/DC or The Black Keys but also more pop-like artists like Beck or The Killers But then again. It's only 12 minutes, and next year I may be watching with friends talking through all of it
-
Show wise, sure she did, but to me it really isn't close to my top. But then again, I'm the kind of guy who every year wants them to go back to rock (or at least some better pop artistis). But I guess we'll need another wardrobe malfunction for them to make "the safe choice", which apparently my choice is Nah. Fergie is a terrible live performer and butchering Sweet Child O' Mine just made it worse...
-
Would only say 2nd worst. The Black Eyed Peas were a disaster!

The killing of the Bud Knight was surely one of the only highlights when it came to the commercials. The halftime show was terrible But I enjoyed the match. Great defensive football isn't really that bad (though I'm sure people will call me biased )

Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2019
Agger replied to mrv86's topic in Totallympics International Song Contest
No, I will not have anybody else take my power! JK, of course I'm in -
And Gilmore intercepts it! Too close to the end zone to feel too sure, but it's looking good!
-
Well. I'm one of those damn Patriot supporters. I even know someone in the stadium (not envious at all ) But for me, it's a great game. Pretty much the only sport where I enjoy a strong defence, and this has been great.

Considering that pretty close to all interesting races are in the World Tour nowadays (and some pretty damn uninteresting) I disagree
