  1. it looks it's gonna be a Russian party...they have a finalist in both the men and women's events... however, awful slope for a PGS, awful course (there's a lot of discrepancy between red and blu tracks) and awful weather conditions (causing a lot of mistakes that could look like beginners' faults, but it's all on that course, instead)... and in absence of her majesty the queen Ester Ledecka (who chose the alpine skiing worlds rather than this event), it's GER vs RUS among the girls...
  2. Matti Nykänen: Finland ski jumping great dies aged 55
  3. lot of surprises in the men's qualifiers...having said of Fischnaller, also the Olympic Champion Galmarini and the big veterans Karl and Dufour are out... and Jasey Jay Anderson is 3rd at the age of 43 (almost 44)...

  5. in a few minutes, it's time for the PGS competitions... Italy had many hopes on this event, but we already lost our leader Fischnaller (and our best newcomer of the year, Bagozza) in the qualification runs... and those who did qualify for the final brackets (March & Coratti among the men and Ochner among the girls), welll...lat's say that they didn't do it "in style"... it will take a miracle for us to come home with a medal, tonight...
  6. without going down to my personal taste in terms of music, only looking at the show itself, I didn't like Maroon 5 (and supporting cast) at all...no special effects, no particularly emotional interpretation of their songs, no virtuosisms...it was just like watching an ordinary MTV video rather than a live show... as someone else said, Katy Perry raised the bar of the SB HT show to a level which nobody has got even close yet...and normally I'm not a big fan of her (if we talk about music only, of course )...

  8. the worst NFL season since many, many years got the worst SB since many, many years, the worst possible winner and the worst halftime show ever... even the commercials were really ordinary... that's definitely deserved...and it couldn't have been different, I suppose... luckily, it's over... hope next season's gonna be better (it won't be difficult, I guess)... p.s. I agree on the killing of Bud Knight as the highlight of night...
  10. I fear it's gonna be blocked, as DAZN also has the rights in Italy (actually, they have the main rights)... however, a VPN would make up for that (there are many with a free trial period with full functionality, if you just don't want to pay for that)... same for the BBC...
  11. a proposito di Lotta, ma si hanno notizie di Kudiiamagomedov (che sembra sparito dal mondo dopo gli Europei del maggio scorso)? è ancora con noi? (in tutti i sensi) perchè tanti misteri su di lui?
  12. here I am...the hardest Patriots hater ever (and the most envious man on earth of Brady...and not because his football success, of course )... so, even if I'm a shattered Raiders fan, tonight I'm gonna stay with the Rams until the end of the world and beyond... p.s by the way,i'm gonna watch the SB tomorrow, thanks to my not-so-cheap NFL Game Pass Europe... no way I'm gonna waste the night for Brady & co...
  13. yes, it was... but how many times the refs have made mistakes on actions like that and reverted the call? OK, Milenchev is probably the best sabre ref in the world, but still...when tied at 44, the risk is always there...
  14. yeah, one-run events are OK, if that run is not a farce like today's... one-run events are not the actual point... the problem with today's race is that also the only contested run wasn't fair at all... and today's track sweepers behaviour was shameful (not the first time it happens in Germany, sadly)...they just tried to really clean up the track only for Geisenberger, as the other riders deserved to slide on a moguls' course rather than a luge track...
  15. luckily we didn't miss the chance to win a tournament on a day where the Koreans couldn't kill us as usual... but we were very lucky on the decisive hit...it could have well gone the other way...
  16. not fully convinced...they'd rather call the day off with such weather condition... it was unfair for most of the riders and it could have become dangerous, too...
  17. yeah, my mistake (and I was watching the race on eurosport)...
  18. streaming gone... edit: now it's back (and Italy are no longer in front )...
  19. and Herola (just edged out by Riiber) missed out on the first Finnish victory in about 9 years... it would have been nice to see another winter sports negative streak stopped, after Italy won their first world cup race in 23 years in women's Luge singles... it would have made this day even more "historical"...
