  1. I'm still shocked! the potentially most successful day in the history of the Taekwondo turned into a Waterloo, a Caporetto, a total disaster in the span of less than 20 mins now it's the day with the most regrets in the history of our Taekwondo first, World and Olympic Champion, Vito Dell'Aquila, was literally destroyed, humiliated by an almost unknown man from then, Natalia D'Angelo wasted the chance of her life against Nielsen and she did it in the worst way possible, doing nothing in the 2nd round after having won the first and misjudging the tied score, who gave life to the Norwegian, who went on winning the final stint (once again, thanks to a really bad attitude by our girl). finally, Maristella Smiraglia couldn't repeat herself against McGowan after the wonderful bout vs Lee in the previous round. but her only fault is being extremely unlucky with the draw, having always to face people ranked way better than her. she still did more than expected reaching the quarterfinals.
  2. yesterday's Results women's -57kg Gold: Luana Marton Silver: Lo Chia-Ling Bronze: Maria Clara Pacheco & Hatice Kubra Ilgun men's -68kg Gold: Bradly Sinden Silver: Jin Ho-Jun Bronze: Matin Rezaei & Ulugbek Rashitov
  3. by the way, Today might become the most successful day ever for at the World Champs. we have all 3 of today's guys in the quarterfinals! and if Dell'Aquila was obviously expected at this stage, surely the 2 girls (D'Angelo and Smiraglia, who beat Lee Dabin in the previous fight) weren't. hope Vito and at least one of the girls can make the podium. it would be awsome.
  4. frankly, I have no explanation. she just came out of nowhere and shocked the world. however, it's clear that behind Salim, all the Hungarian team is working very hard and very well and now your athletes are all to be respected a lot more than before. most likely, the current rules also feature the style of your atheltes very well, more than in the past.
  5. it's for Independent Neutral Athletes, but since INA is already the Indonesian global signature, they used the French version of the signature, which is AIN

  10. the Italians are really a bunch of morons... after smashing we had the door open to easily sail through the semis (at least, I'd dare to say the final) and now we're going home in the round of 16 and would probably end up playing the gold medal match

  17. other than internet, I also have a motorized satellite dish (120cm) and the single satellite system available for all the apartments of the palace where I live. so, paid TV susbs: - Sky Italia @ 13 East (the main Italian pay-tv, of course), Sports package only (no Football package, but it's not a big loss, as they only have the Italian football as exclusive feature, the Champions/Europa League and some of the main European National leagues -ENG, GER, FRA- are on the sport pack) - Czech/Slovak TV provider Skylink @ 23.5 East (Kombi+ package, with the public sport channels from CZE and SVK and a few private sport networks like Sport1 & 2 + Nova Sport 1 & 2 + JOJ Sport and Arena Sport 1 SVK, which cover a lot of sports and especially almost all the Hockey I'm interested in) - a lot of free channels around the socalled Clarke Stripe and also some "not so free" ones, but still available with some kind of hardware and software (Dreambox STB for instance) - I used to have also a SRG (public Swiss) TV card, but now it's expired and I didn't replace it yet (and I don't know if I'll ever do it) Online Service subs: - ESPN Player (NHL Hockey full coverage -all games of the season, US College Sports and a few more events) - *MLB.tv (MLB and Dominican Winter League Baseball full coverage) - *NFL GamePass (NFL Football full coverage) - *Discovery+ (with all the Eurosport stuff and much more) all these, with a full yearly subscription (some of them* coming with a strong discount, however). then, normally only in late September/October (the season's climax), I also add JNEXT TV and i-KOR TV (Japanese and Korean IPTV services with all of their main TV channels) to watch the NPB and KBO Baseball playoffs. I also have a VPN, of course...and thanks to it, I can steal viewership of some more TV channels online (mainly public TV networks, like NPO/NOS or the Swedish STV Play, for instance) oh, I almost forgot Youtube and some free services coming directly from the world sports federations (like the Olympic Channel or Wrestling or Judo), which are always an important source for sports with lower media coverage. despite some discounts, in any case, I feel I'm still investing a lot (too much? ), but this is my passion, so, I don't care until I can afford it.
  18. defeated in women's Doubles, saving us from an all-Chinese final.

  21. well, in any case in Venice they need canoeing specialists more than rowers...
  22. by the way, also the Mixed Team competition is back to the old format for what concerns the finals, with both teams shooting 6 rounds of 8 targets (4 the man, 4 the woman) and counting all of them for the total result.
  23. Mixed Team Skeet Gold: Italy 2 (Chiara Cainero & Tammaro Cassandro) Silver: Kazakhstan 2 (Assem Orynbay & Eduard Yechshenko) Bronze: Italy 1 (Diana Bacosi & Gabriele Rossetti) Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/csevent.ashx?cseventid=18016
  24. that's one point...the other being rowing the poorest sport on earth (if not on earth, in Italy for sure...our best athletes are students or people enrolled in the Military corpse -like in many other sports, but in Rowing they only rely on their salary, there's no chance to earn something extra by participating to global circuits like in swimming or athletics for instance)...
