  1. yes, all the athletes registered for CSKA/SKA are not eligible, as they aren't those registered for clubs owned by the sanctioned companies like Gazprom and many more.
  2. game over... 3-3 tie after regulation...Latvia are in the quarterfinals, Slovakia are out.
  3. are not playing like they did so far, to say the least. they're only trying not to waste any energy and not to get injured, leaving the door open for Latvia to qualify at the expense of Slovakia.
  4. now the game is tied 2-2. the hope is still alive...
  5. being under IOC's blackmail because of the 2026 Winter Olympics, our NOC's President, Giovanni Malagò (also IOC member), said earlier Today that the Government is ready to allow and atheltes to enter the Italian territory for all the sports competitions held in our Country, especially those who should take part into the World Fencing Championships in Milan at the end of July. by the way, they will be allowed only according to the IOC rules, which means complete neutrality and not being part of Russian clubs related to the National Army nor to the companies currently sanctioned by EU and/or UN*. and no teams (which is a bad blow for them in terms of Olympic qualification, since it's based mainly on the team events). *Sofya Pozdniakova, daughter of the great Stanislav (now President of the Russian OC), is among those who won't be allowed to compete in any case (the only -big- name of Russian fencing made by Malagò after today's press conference).
  6. why? if I did it till the last step*, why can't the (wo)man with the torch too? *30 years and many more kilos ago, of course...

  9. here we go again... it's time for the Shotgun specialists to make a trip to Almaty Not to be forgotten, since this World Cup stage, also in Shotgun Shooting there's some kind of restoration and we're back to the old format, with the top 6 shooters after the qualification rounds entering the final, where we have progressive eliminations after 20/30/40/50 shots before the last 2 athletes remaining contest the gold & silver medal in the last 10 shots.
  10. unfortunately, I guess it's a quite common issue with sports like rowing and others that don't allow people to make enough money out of it
  11. covid doesn't exist in therefore, their athletes can't take it.
  12. Always nice to see that we still have a good number of young talents practicing this wonderful sport. but as usual, our great problem is translating these amazing results in the youth classes into world class rowers in the senior ranks. we're losing too much talent through this process because there's no way to earn enough being a professional rower.

  14. unfortunately, the team that less deserved to be in Kaunas (actually, a team that should have been kicked out of the Euroleague for at least a couple of seasons), finally came home with the trophy... Olympiakos couldn't cope with the pressure in the final mins of the game and blew a 6-pt lead, gave up the winning shot to the evilish Sergio Llull with 3.1 secs to go. Real Madrid won 79-78. It's their 11th Champions Cup/Euroleague title. Basketball lost on all fronts. p.s. AS Monaco won the 3rd place match vs Barcelona by a score of 78-66. 18. yet another disaster for the Italian archers, going not even close to the medals in any of the Olympic events. after only 2 stages, we are basically out of any chance to be taken into consideration for the repechage Olympic Quota Places awarded through the World Ranking. we can only rely on the World Champs and the Continental places.
