  1. This is not our intention, after all, with us still posting, we are proving, that we love this contest in which we participated from the very beginning (at least Werloc and me). Maybe we could really post something in Festival of music, will have to consider.

  3. Biathlon Cross Country Skiing (Lampič and previously Majdič ) Short Track (finding something not so usual in our country) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ofcourse Alpine Skiing and Ski Jumping would be next...
  4. It is still very much looking, this is going to be a contest with fewest participants, or at least one of the least representative. Israeli case just proves I did the right thing to pull off this time. Still this does not mean I will not listen to all competitive songs and I wish you all very kind and pleasaruble contest.
  5. She does not need at all, we have quite good perspective in our young girls.
  6. needs to beat by 2 goals, assuming that wins against . It is going to be tough one.
  7. Wow, incredible. With all respect to Iran and India, Slovenian team used a little easier draw, and this qualification is very important for further development of this sport after Tokič retirement.
  8. I think chances are 50-50, Tokič is not at his best, but he is always better when the tournaments progresses, he always starts slowly, Jorgič and Kožul are getting better and better, so chances are same for us and India.
  9. Molto obrigado Portugal, today we beat Spain, and then dream final ??:?? ??
  10. Today we have a historic chance, beating India and we will have a team in Tokio. ??
  11. I would not mind if we won Euro and already qualify for Olympics. This would be sattisfaction for stupid system in basketball or volleyball, where you can not qualify even with title (or silver).
  12. OLYMPIC FOCUS I will try to go through all previous performances and to find out, what the future brings, if particular sport will have representatives in Tokio. PART 13 Cycling Mountain Bike Mountain Bike has a little richer Olympic history than BMX, with Atlanta 1996 being first competition. It was also a bit friendly to Slovenian Cycling. Primož Štrancar and Rok Drašler had the chance to represent our country in Olympic Cross Country at Sydney 2000. Later on, it was time for the ladies. Blaža Klemenčič (later Pintarič) took her place in Beijing 2008 and also in London 2012, where in Rio she was banned due to doping offence. Tjaša Žakelj is our most succesful athlete, finishing 10th in London and 13th in Rio. Žakelj will most probably compete at her third Olympics in Tokio, while there is still uncertain, whether Pintarič will qualify.
  13. OLYMPIC FOCUS I will try to go through all previous performances and to find out, what the future brings, if particular sport will have representatives in Tokio. PART 12 Cycling BMX BMX Cycling is one of the newest sports in Olympic calendar, starting in 2008. So far, no athlete from Slovenia was so good to compete in big events, which is quite weird, according to cycling tradition and number of recreation parks, which grew in last few decades.
  14. OLYMPIC FOCUS I will try to go through all previous performances and to find out, what the future brings, if particular sport will have representatives in Tokio. PART 11 Canoe Sprint Canoe Sprint has even much more history than its »slalom brother«. First competition took place in 1936, Metod Gabršček and Bojan Saunik finished 11th in Men's K2 10.000m folding. In 1952, Josip Lipokatić competed in K1, he came in 13th in 10.000m and 15th in 1.000m. In modern history, Jernej Župančič Regent qualified for Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, both time for K1 1000m. He was two times 15th. Beijing was also first stop for Špela Ponomarenko Janić, who will compete in Tokio on her fourth Olympics, this time in pair with Anja Osterman. Ponomarenko Janić has two times qualified in an Olympic final, as she came 6th in K1 500m (Beijing) and even better, finishing 4th in K1 200m (Rio). It is only a matter of time, before first Olympic medal will be won. In last WCH in Szeged Ponomarenko Janić and Osterman took silver in 200m and bronze in 500m. Meanwhile Ponomarenko Janić will probably not compete in single 500m event. Among men, Jošt Zakrajšek will try to qualify in K1 1000m (13th in last WCH).
  15. OLYMPIC FOCUS I will try to go through all previous performances and to find out, what the future brings, if particular sport will have representatives in Tokio. PART 10 Canoe Slalom Previously known also as Canoe Wildwater or Whitewater Slalom, this sport is one of the most succesful in history of our country. First athletes competed already in Munich 1972, there were 6 canoers in 4 boats, finishing best Andrejašič and Guzelj as 6th in C2. It took another 20 years, when in Barcelona under Slovenian flag again 6 men competed in Canoeing. Best result was once more 6th place, this time from Marjan Štrukelj in K1. In 1996 came Atlanta, and on River Ocoee then 24 year old Andraž Vehovar, who previously won only one World Cup at home in Tacen, finished in silver position in K1, which also brought him title of Slovenian Sportsperson of the Year. In 2000, Nada Mali became first female to represent our country, and in 2012 we had competitors in all 4 categories. Peter Kauzer is one of the most succesful athletes ever in this sport, but he had to wait for Olympic medal until his third performance, in Rio he finally won a silver in K1, becoming second Canoe Slalom medalist in history. Slovenia has won 25 medals in WCH, 6 of them gold, and there is no surprise our team will be perfect in Tokio, with competitors in all categories (K1 and C1 for both, men and women).
  16. Let me wish you all happy new year. As some of you already know, due to occasional disrespectful behaviour of bestmen (who besides that, can and will put a show), I will not be part of the contest first time in history. Also I will not troll with any weird song or something familiar, therefore, unless someone else from my country will want to post a song, let it be. If not. will not be a part of TAISC 2020. To all, I wish you all the best. justony
  17. delegation is clearly considering, whether to miss their first ever TISC in history because of well known bestmen behaviour. Either that or possibly sending the worst song there can be.
  18. So far really interesting, unexpected championships. Well done for Fallon and ladies in darts, who are well underestimated. had its second competitor, after 10 years absence (Osmann Kijamet) came Benjamin Pratnemer and well tortured Justin Pipe. MvG is still not on his better form, but yesterday was much better. It is interesting no one can achieve 9 darter, when bonus prize money is on stake. Today will be very interesting, especially between Dimitri and Lewis. In the end, I am hoping for final MVG vs. Price or Wright, we'll see. EDIT: Dutch final between MvG and De Zwaan would also be really awesome. First full Dutch final in history?
  19. And now for my personal view. Firstly, thank you @Wumo and @Agger for creating a wonderful event. @Wumo forget about all those people, who do not appreciate hard work, and try not to beat yourself up too much. I personally know that it is highly impossible to organize such big contest, it is getting a lot of you, so I really appreciate all those who went up hosting also previous events. To delegation, wow, thank you so much, I was really surprised, that a song, sung in a completely different language. could "steal" 12 points. I can not remember, when did we ever get 12 pts (maybe with Tina ). @dcro "thank you" for not awarding a song, performed by Croatian singer . I also did not put Maksim Mrvica on my list, because it reminded me too much on Croatian Eurovision songs (Vanna, Magazin,...). @bestmen once again, amazing points presentation, congrats for that, thank you for your 11 points, whether you meant it for real or not, I don't care. @Griff88 another surprise from a country I was not expecting to be awarded with 10 points. Also thank you all others who voted for my song, thank you for your patience, cause I was among last to send my song and my votes. Last, but not least, congratulations @heywoodu. This girl is simply amazing, she is a lot on Slovenian radio stations, but until now, I did not know, she comes from Netherlands. It is something unusual for a winning song getting also 12 points from myself. See you soon, in TAISC 2020.

  23. Ok, my dear colleagues, the wait is finally over, one more time, it is my pleasure to present: SLOVENIA This time another neighbour collaboration. Offically published only as Gušti, it is a duo, made of our very well established musician Miha Guštin (Gušti), who is actor in this video, and Croatian singer Ema Gagro, who sang this year also at Dora (Croatian selection for Eurovision). Song title is Igra (Game). It is song about game of life, of life itself. Enjoy ! GUŠTI - IGRA
  24. Thank you guys, now we wait and then revenge will be ours.
