It is my favourite and the first one I discovered, hence I chose it, regardless of language they are singing in. I don't know exact reason, but I guess, if they know and can sing in many languages, why not to exploit that knowledge/ability.

Ibeyi are Cuban-born, Paris based twin sisters Lisa-Kaïndé and Naomi Diaz. They sing in French, English, Spanish and Yoruba, which was brought to Cuba by West African slaves. Ibeyi honor their father’s legacy, Cuban jazz percussionist Miguel "Angá" Díaz through their percussive production. Beatsmith Naomi plays both the cajón and the batá while Lisa-Kaindé plays the piano and sings the main vocals. And here is the song that enchanted me... you're TISC rules expert.. I wanted to nominate some artists for Cuba (their father is Cuban of Yoruba decent, Miguel Anga Diaz, they were bron in Paris though, but spent few years in Havana and are often travelling there) but I am not sure they are eligible...

I had four finalists in total, and here they are... Second choice: The Chills - When The Poor Can Reach The Moon - my personal favourite, but decided not to go with it because The Chills already made appearance in TISC (and being one of my all time favourite bands they already scored low in TISC, I couldn't bear another blow ) so it would be better if I present some new act. But nevertheless, just listen to this very light, innocent and beautiful song.... Third choice: Marlon Williams - Strange Things. The singer has interesting voice and I thought it would be nice to introduce new genre in TISC. Williams is becoming very popular. Didn't go with it because last song from NZ was also "dark". Fourth choice: Tami Neilson - Don't Be Afraid. Another powerful vocal making success in NZ lately. I am not fond of such music hence the low placement in the "national" finals. Hope some of you will enjoy it.
