  1. Zubo qualified for 2nd run AND tomorrow's parallel giant slalom.
  2. Don't forget about adding men's rhythmic gymnastics (individual and group) and men's synchronized swimming (duet and team). Gender equalty you know.
  3. You'd think it's hard to be the snowboarding champion and competitive alpine racer at the same time, but that's not hard for Ledecka apparently!
  4. A bit extreme proposal. 60kg and 80kg in the same category. However, current system has -49, -52, -56, -60... One can easily be cut there...
  5. It would be cool to have pursuit where athletes start in reverse (60th from sprint starts first). Obviously, not at championships, but maybe at the end of the season or something.
  6. Belgium actually had the fastest time today. 6 seconds faster than Fourcade's one miss + victory lap
  7. Well, Belgium is there.
  8. Fourcade on victory lap lol
  9. Well, that is going to happen when Svindal makes a huge mistake To be honest, I was going to say that even sliding sports are less one sided these days, but Franz stopped that.
  10. I wonder what odds you get for picking Martin Fourcade as the winner these days, 1.01?
  11. Looks like there is a lot of that going on recently.
  12. Let's hope that Lithuania qualifies a mixed relay.
  13. Dukurs missed the podium again.
  14. Because our corrupted federation enjoys kicking mostly young skiers out of the team after every season. Last season we had Max Ullrich regularly competing in his first WC season. He had some half decent performances (38th in Kvitfjell downhill for example), but hey, apparently that's not good enough for 21 year old so it's better to have nobody. Max was also in top 10 at the 2015 Junior Worlds in downhill... It's ironic that they put such harsh standards when they had absolutely nothing to do with successes of Croatian skiing...
  15. With this system we get the following win probabilities. In general that's 80% possibility to see a new host and 20% possibility to see a former host repeating his/her duties.
  16. Maybe having this system: Preliminary round Heat 1 (former hosts (users)) - Heat 2 and Heat 3 - other six nations selected randomly. One nation from Heat 1 + two nations from Heats 2 and 3 advance to the Grand Final of 5.
  17. Exactly! Nowadays it's becoming very hard for smaller nations to qualify anywhere outside of alpine/XC skiing because quotas are so limited and because big (rich) nations want to be good (or at least participate) in everything. It's happening all the time. Virgin Islands have a very good athlete in women's skeleton but her chances are very low... Even though she is their best winter athlete by a long, long way... Similar story for bobsled team. They were decent and they tried to qualify for Sochi but yeah...
  18. Darn, looks like that new datacenter is useless.
  19. @heywoodu Does Krešimir Crnković has any chance to qualify if he doesn't improve his shooting?
  20. Apparently another mixed team proposal came out this week, in judo... Mixed team event consisting of women's -57, -70, +70 and men's -73, -90, +90
  21. Sure, another mixed team, why not. I guess we might be hearing about mixed modern pentathlon too soon.
  22. Koreans should at least be well aware of the being lapped rule.
  23. Wow, looks like Malec really worked hard on her sprint this summer. Defeated at lof of participants in today's qualifications and only 4 seconds behind WC points.
