  1. How do you improve PB by 25 cm.
  2. I remembered this rebel thread. It was rather active actually.
  3. Well, at least the athletes there are not doped beyond belief... Officially...
  4. This match looks a bit like man vs woman...
  5. Cool, so if someone is searching "Tour de Suisse" he/she might find this. Nobody is ever searching for "Road cycling discussion thread".
  6. Now this is a shocker (UCI BMX freestyle ranking). Quick Google search says he learned everything from youtube.
  7. UCI says he is one of the famous ones, unlike any of the Americans. BMX Freestyle Park is a spectacular, crowd-pleasing discipline, which takes place on ramps with big transitions and large obstacles. Competitors are judged on tricks performed throughout the course, with points awarded based on difficulty, originality, style and execution. Each rider in both the men’s and women’s events gets two one-minute runs (which both count) to impress the judges, who will reward the rider with a score between 0-100 points, with the ultimate goal being the award of an Olympic gold medal. Famous riders include Logan Martin (Australia), Daniel Dhers (Venezuela), Alex Coleborn (Great Britain) for men, Nikita Ducarroz (Switzerland), Macarena Perez (Chile) and UCI World Cup title holder, 15-year-old Hannah Roberts (USA) for women.

  12. Looks like equestrian events were approved today for 2024 Olympics. Also, format changes that include reducing number of team members from 4 to 3 (+ "active" reserve) has been confirmed. Next Olympics should bring quite a few new nations. http://inside.fei.org/news/fei-president-welcomes-ioc-confirmation-equestrian-sport-2024-olympic-programme-and-approval
  13. Seems to be closed for suggestions!
  14. And how do you figure that? Horses are 8-18 years old!
  15. "I am delighted that the Olympic Games in Tokyo will be more youthful, more urban and will include more women." - Thomas Bach Aaah, this explains it. Modern penathlon team event is obviously too rural.
  16. Yeah, it gets rather confusing with only one thread for sport. There should definitely be more. Maybe even several for a big event, like: "Athletics World Championships - Day 1". Things would get much readable then.
  17. Team event in modern pentathlon was the only one that I hoped will make it, but no... Perhaps they want to kick out MP eventually, so they don't want to give them gifts now.
  18. Means that Nacra 17 will be replaced with Foiling Nacra 17 class.
  19. It's a sad day really, but always gonna happen with this Agenda 2020 nonsense. Swimming - Seriously, another freestyle event?! So Ledecky going for 4 individual golds in Tokyo... No comment on mixed gender relay nonsense. Archery - Same old mixed gender. At least this event is being held at the biggest stage for a while now. Athletics - Another pop-up mixed gender event that doesn't even exist at this point. Basketball - 3x3 with 8 teams per gender. Boxing - I guess transfer of weights is fine. But please don't still have 12 athletes per women's weights. Canoe - Women's canoe events are joke at this point, let's be honest. Cycling BMX - Perhaps the worst addition, hard to choose really. Cycling Track - Madison is fine, but women's event at this year's Worlds was unbearable with like 2-3 competitive teams and everyone else hitting the deck. Fencing - At least they found logic somewhere. Judo - Another pop-up mixed gender event Rowing - Women's fours will be pretty much like eights with B teams (or the other way around). Sailing - Just another change of class, nothing new for sailing. Shooting - Awful day continues. Table tennis - I guess mixed doubles might work actually. Should be opened to everyone. Triathlon - Might work actually. Weightlifting - They had it coming. Really disappointed to see the cuts in athletics and swimming. Small nations are gonna pay for that.
  20. Hello equestrian! Both mixed gender athletes and horses. Seriously though, I'm glad FEI solved all gender equality issues by the early 1960s... No need to pay "old debts" that so many other sports have done today.
  21. Great, they are planning to take away quotas from smaller nations in cross-country and road cycling... All to give big nations even more athletes and more medals. BMX freestyle is a nightmare. They should have pushed for XC eliminator or team relay instead.
  22. Do you happen to know how fast is the fastest one?
  23. Commentators said she's the first unseeded player in womens RG final since 1983
  24. So I guess Ostapenko once again proved everyone on Totallympics prediction contest wrong?
