Test

  1. Left score is from Umbach, who has been overscoring French ever since it became possible for them to get a team for Olympics. Right score is from Eisenhardt. I thought that test was for 73%, solid but often sloppy. Here is more in-depth scoring from the judges. Difficulty (Schwierigkeitsgard, yeah I can't prounounce that) marks are most interesting. From 5.5 (Eisenhardt) to 9.5 (Umbach).
  2. What a circus. Umbach can go screw himself, for all I care. 78% was absolutely ridiculous score for Ayache. Thank you for having a sense of justice Dr. Evi Eisenhardt. 67%. Cool.
  3. Louisdor Preis - Final Senta Kirchhoff (L'Arbuste OLD) - 73.220% Lena Waldmann (Fiderdance) - 72.300% Insa Hansen (Rebroff) - 71.980% Great comeback for Senta after disappointing first day, and overall great weekend for the Oldenburgers.
  4. Pretty good run for Zubo. Looks like he could finally be looking for better BiBs this season, after about 5 years of starting 20th-25th.
  5. I hate to say it, but Alta Badia looks boring without Hirscher.
  6. After Day 4... Men's 470 28 34 58 92 Women's 470 41 52 66 Quotas for South Korea (Men) and Malaysia (Women).
  7. Nurnberger Burg-Pokal - Final Isabel Freese (Total Hope OLD) - 79.220% Kira Wulferding (Bonita Springs) - 78.512% Lena Waldmann (Cadeau Noir) - 75.537% Total Hope wins.
  8. Final results: Josh Junior - 44 Nicholas Heiner - 52 Zsombor Berecz - 53 Oceanian quota officially goes to Jake Lilley, who placed 5th.
  9. Plus we actually had India. There is no luge boom in Asia.
  10. Yep. Apparently some believe that first decade had 9 years.
  11. Alina Zagitova has suspended her season indefinitely. Apparently the reason is a lack of motivation. At age of 17? Right. It probably has more to do with her shape. Her jumps were completely off during the Grand Prix season... One has to wonder what do those Russian coaches do to their girls? Since apparently they all burn out after two seasons (Sotnikova, Pogorilaya, Medvedeva, Sotskova, and now Zagitova).
  12. FEI published the list of MER events for 2020. Dressage Eventing (to come) Jumping How nice, Brazilian federation remembered to organize no less than 3 dressage events this time!
  13. Louisdor Preis - Short Grand Prix Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (Ferdinand BB) - 76.488% Kira Wulferding (Soiree d'Amour) - 73.674% Lena Waldmann (Fiderdance) - 73.395% And Total Hope from yesterday...
  14. After Day 4... Men's 470 26 27 54 81 Women's 470 38 45 58 Very productive day for Thailand! Singapore cut some gap to Malaysia too.
  15. I think it's too late for replacement.
  16. Apparently may withdraw due to lack of funds.
  17. Probably nothing can be done without some hard off-competition evidence (which I have no doubt exist). The sadest part is that probably all of this will be for nothing, as both Austria and France will likely go through anyway. Nevertheless there are people (Saleh, Umbach) ready to make complete mockery of their own profession, just to help some terrible mediocrity that is French dressage team. Ugh.
  18. Umbach must be on a nice French payroll. He was already ridiculous in Madrid, and now again in Frankfurt. I just can't stand these complecent cheaters anymore.
  19. Piggy French dropped a bomb today by announcing that Quarrycrest Echo, a real stalwart of British eventing team, has been sold to Japan. Deadline for horse transfer is January 15th. Horses that change nationality after that will not be eligible to compete in Tokyo.
  20. Actually, no. Most people are not aware that their location is being used to generate this, even if they have technically consented to it when buying the device. At college we have covered this topic quite thoroughly. Basically every gadget has GPS tracker these days, so there is no running away from it (unless you get yourself a jammer or similar (illegal) device).
  21. How is this news exactly? What do you think, how these red and orange bars get generated, if not with location tracking? It's a form of passive crowdsourcing.
