What people don't realise is the EBU only banned Russia because multiple broadcasters threatened to pull out and not because of their war crimes. Obviously the Israel/Palestine conflict is completely different to the Ukraine/Russia one but the only way Israel gets banned in the future is if multiple broadcasters threaten to withdraw.

Very shocked that Latvia got through, his voice was incredible but I thought the presentation would see him get knocked out. Can see him being like North Macedonia in 2019 on Saturday and winning the jury vote. Thought Greece and Austria were awful and didn't deserve to go through. On the other hand Czechia were unlucky, really good song but it was too big for the singer. Malta and San Marino are also somewhat unfortunate to miss out.

Tbh from all the videos I've seen the crowd reaction is quite even between the boos and cheers, despite what some who've been posting these videos have been saying. As for Israel I thought she did well tonight and thoroughly deserved to go through, she won't win definite top 5 for sure.

No quota for here for the first time in a long time. Were extremely unfortunate not to get the K4 Women's quota and also feel if Deborah Kerr would've won her heat this morning she'd have gotten one of the spots. Another sport where we've fallen victim to quota and funding reduction and event swapping.

This all wouldn't be happening if South Africa didn't bottle it against Kenya. So because of that they deserve to miss out and GB deserve to win and go through to the Olympics.

Every team world championship has to have continental qualifiers to showcase and give countries from less successful continents a chance to shine and grow the sport in their respective continent. Continental qualifiers are fine and good for sports, as long as they don't forsake the quality of the event by there being too many of them or by them replacing places given to the world rankings. In this case the problem isn't the continental qualifiers, it's the amount of places that are on offer for the entire event.

In all honesty this is one of the best qualification system out of all of the sports. It mixes the best in the world with the best in each in continent. With sports like this you're always gonna get continents who are way behind the rest, so it's expected that we have some Challenger teams in there. 8 times out of 10 both GB and South Africa would be in, but like Josh said South Africa's own failures against Kenya has caused this situation. There probably should be 16 teams instead of 12, but the quota problem is universal across all sports and the IOC need to sort it out soon otherwise tons of team sports will be depleted of competitors and matches to showcase their sport on a global stage.

Agony for Hall, missing out via a shoot-off is always tough. Hopefully we can make amends by getting one of the team quotas, our three lads seem to have performed well the last couple days.

Really feel for Liberia, hopefully they get in via the toplists as the team is too talented to miss out on the Olympics.
