  1. FIFA approved AFC's recommendation and removed all PRK's results results against 5th placed teams in each group won't be counted. I believe Iran is the biggest loser here by losing +14 GD. I somehow have a feeling AFC had that in mind when they "recommended" this to FIFA.
  2. nope. this is just Heynen acting like "Heynen", there is nothing unusual about that (who cares which team is in the same floor) unless Heynen creates a story. what a disgusting human he is.
  3. سلام ظاهرا که میتونیم
  4. so Martinez is confirmed ?OK then I'm trying to make the brackets based on the world ranking. so I'm interested to know who is going to Tokyo for each country. btw by my count Vicente will be 8th or 9th seed which won't be good for Spain. it will be Braganca (POR) and then Jang (KOR) in the QF. Perez would be the 3rd seed. of course this is not final and any change in the names (like what Spain did) can change the bracket.
  5. I have to add that even in 80kg Spain is making a change, Raul Martinez originally qualified through the ranking.
  6. for Asia, they simply take the best ranked athlete among the 4 categories (in each gender) I made a list for that (check the previous page) she is currently 2nd in Asia. she will take the Asian quota if: 1) Rozita Alipour of Iran qualifies directly (I hope so ) 2) two other continents take both 61kg available spots before Asia. in that case Alipour can't qualify and they will consider the next athlete.(I hope not ) it's also possible that Alipour qualifies herself but two other continents (Africa and Pan-Am) take both 55kg quotas before it comes to Li Ranran. that's an unlikely scenario though.
  7. only 2019 European Games counts and she won a bronze. which means all gold and silver medalists have advantage over her. (the best ranked gold medalists from the EG will qualify, if not the best ranked silver medalists and if not possible, then they go to bronze medalists) even if by a miracle it comes down to the bronze medalists Quirici of Switzerland in the same category has a better rank. her chance to grab the continental quota is something like 1% and probably less. she has to qualify in France if she wants to go to Tokyo.
  8. apparently everybody has to be in top 50 of WR to qualify (except athletes who will qualify in France) I have to make some changes to the list I made earlier. removing everybody outside of top 50. beside that only few athletes inside top 50 are eligible for the Wild Card Men Kata: 67kg: 75kg: +75kg: Women Kata: 55kg: None 61kg: None +61kg: we will see which weights/events will be free for a wild card only after the World Qualifiers.
  9. for Asia, Oceania and Africa it's simply the highest ranked athlete. only in Europe and Pan-America they will consider the Continental Games results.
  10. if it was today, the following athletes would qualify. but again keep in mind if one of these athletes qualify, that will change everything like a domino. Men: Oceania: Yahiro (75kg) Africa: Abdelaziz (75kg) Pan-Am: Irr (+75kg) Asia: Yuldashev (+75kg) Europe: Kalnins (67kg) Women: Oceania: Anacan (Kata) Africa: Abdelaziz (+61kg) Pan-Am: Grande (61kg) Asia: Alipour (61kg) Europe: Semeraro (+61kg) Extra: the last athlete for Africa shouldn't be from Egypt, the best ranked athlete among all 8 events Africa: El Hakimi (Men's Kata) if the African athlete is a male, the last Pan-Am quota will go to the best female Pan-Am gold medalist Pan-Am: Kumizaki (55kg) =================== so it will be something like this (at least at the moment) there will be 4 wild cards, I believe Kuwait has a good chance for one of them in men's Kata Men Kata: 67kg: 75kg: +75kg: Women Kata: 55kg: 61kg: +61kg:
  11. and for women, only Anacan and Abdelaziz are 100% safe. Women's Ranking: Oceania: 1. Anacan (Kata - Rank 9) 2. Mah (61kg - Rank 35) Africa: 1. Abdelaziz (+61kg - Rank 5) 2. Sayed (55kg - Rank 11) 3. Sadini (61kg - Rank 11) 4. Sayed (Kata - Rank 18) 5. Agalmam (Kata - Rank 19) 6. Matoub (+61kg - Rank 23) America: 1. Grande (61kg - Rank 9) 2. Kumizaki (55kg - Rank 19) 3. Dimitrova (Kata - Rank 11) 4. Garces (61kg - Rank 49) 5. Caballero (61kg - Rank 40) 6. Armada (Kata - Rank 40) Asia: 1. Alipour (61kg - Rank 6) 2. Li (55kg - Rank 8) 3. Berultseva (+61kg - Rank 9) 4. Tsukii (55kg - Rank 12) 5. Sadeghi (Kata - Rank 13) Europe: 1. Semeraro (+61kg - Rank 11) 2. Serogina (61kg - Rank 12) 3. Plank (55kg - Rank 14) 4. Goranova (55kg - Rank 27) 5. Palacio (+61kg - Rank 28) 6. Ristic (61kg - Rank 29)
  12. WKF finally updated its Olympics ranking. we knew top 4 for the direct quotas. but I'm going to make a list of top athletes for the continental quotas. remember that only #1 from each continent qualify but only after the World Qualifiers in France. for example if Yahiro (AUS) qualifies directly that will give the Oceania quota to the next athlete Hoshi (NZL). also remember that only 2 spots are available in each weight. which means only Yahiro and Abdelaziz are 100% guaranteed a place in Tokyo. Kalnins also looks 95% safe. Men's Ranking: Oceania: 1. Yahiro (75kg - Rank 22) 2. Hoshi (Kata - Rank 32) 3. Yuen (Kata - Rank 49) Africa: 1. Abdelaziz (75kg - Rank 8) 2. Shawky (Kata - Rank 15) 3. Sekouri (75kg - Rank 17) 4. El Hakimi (Kata - Rank 17) 5. Ramadan (+75kg - Rank 21) America: 1. Scott (75kg - Rank 6) 2. Irr (+75kg - Rank 16) 3. Madera (67kg - Rank 34) 4. Torres (Kata - Rank 10) 5. Brose (67kg - Rank 12) 6. Velozo (67kg - Rank 16) Asia: 1. Ainazarov (75kg - Rank 7) 2. Yuldashev (+75kg - Rank 8) 3. Otabolaev (75kg - Rank 11) 4. Saymatov (67kg - Rank 15) 5. Al Masatfa (67kg - Rank 17) 6. Al Mosawi (Kata - Rank 18) Europe: 1. Kalnins (67kg - Rank 14) 2. Gurbanli (+75kg - Rank 24) 3. Farzaliyev (67kg - Rank 25) 4. Arkania (+75kg - Rank 5) 5. Harspataki (75kg - Rank 10) 6. Chobotar (+75kg - Rank 11)
  13. @heywoodu it's working now, he needs 405 or 406. that's still higher than his PB (398kg) but considering his age and the fact that he improved his PB big time in the last European Champs. I think that's 50/50 for him.
  14. no no, he needs much less ! IWF website (and its ranking section) is not working properly for me right now. I can't give you an accurate answer. but I think something around 410-415 is enough for that purpose. he needs some big big lifts if he wants to surpass Nagy (HUN) and Orcag (CZE) to increase his chance massively but that's beyond his capacities. he better only focus on the Israeli guy.
  15. he can't make it to top 8. that's for sure. the best he can do is to surpass the Israeli athlete right above himself in the ranking (that's quite possible) and then he has to wait for other countries to make their choices. lots of countries above him have limited number of quotas and some other options in other weights.
  16. from my understanding, it will be something like this LM2X: LW2X: M1X: W1X: 6 boats qualify in Asia in Single sculls events because of host unused quotas. but then we don't have any other competitor in the women's single sculls to qualify. so the quota is reallocated to the World Qualifier and Japan will grab that as the next best ranked !
  17. it's official now, Iran is going to pick W1X the male rower "withdrew" himself to make room for the lady!
  18. 2nd day quotas Men's 58kg: Men's +80kg: Women's 57kg: Women's +67kg:
  19. I vote for Golf, I don't find the sport interesting but the fact that top golfers aren't even interested to participate is more annoying. but I also think Modern pentathlon, 3x3 basketball, surfing. BMX freestyle and skateboard don't belong to the Olympics.
  20. wow. that was mother of all comebacks ! PHI guy was down something like 15pts with 1 minute to ago. he won the match 50-49!!! 99pts in 1 match is probably the highest ever what a match. wow
  21. oof, that was close. but she made it at the end. and for the 4th Olympics in a row we will have one female taekwondo athlete. Chinese Taipei also completed its team. 4 out of 4.
  22. before the news about Olympic being postponed for a year. WKF acted stupid and announced a list of qualified athletes. assuming there will be no time for the remaining events. later they changed it. from that list almost everybody made it to the Olympics AGAIN. but we had 2 changes. Vinicius Figueira OUT ==> Ali El Sawy IN Elena Quirici OUT ==> Gong Li IN

  24. now our table is complete Men Kata: 67kg: 75kg: +75kg: Women Kata: 55kg: 61kg: +61kg: was the most successful with 5 quotas qualified 4.
  25. the German lost the 55kg final therefore the last ranking quota goes to Wen Tzu-yun
