  1. And it’s only because the IOC is corrupt - Russia have been found guilty of state sponsored doping and they haven’t missed a single games run by the IOC despite WADA and most athletes from outside of Russia being in favour of it.
  2. And it will be lower this week as prime time becomes even more repeats as the finals are mostly not in USA prime time.

  4. The Men’s relay will see one of the USA or UK finishing fourth behind ROC and the meet ending with another major argument about doping.
  5. Once again GB don’t have the depth in numbers to always qualify a B Team.
  6. I think by the end of the Games GB Athletics will look worse than the rowing as i think the amount of finals reached will likely be the lowest ever and leaving without medals is plausible.

  8. It’s hard to see anyone but the top three medaling.
  9. She just looked a bit out of form. And that possible injury to Asha Philip is bad news for the GB Women in the 4 x 100 Unless she recovers quickly.
  10. If they can’t prove they were framed and get the original charge dismissed then that’s tough.
  11. I think in Dressage even big mistakes are not easily to notice to untrained viewer. In some other judged sports big MAK takes are more common and clear to notice. like in the final of the individual Schneider made lots of mistakes but it was hard to see how she went from possible medal contender to finishing 15th.
  12. Why shouldn’t Lily King speak out about a cheater being in the race?
  13. ROC (nor any team) shouldn’t contain anyone with a doping ban in their past.
  14. I think Dina Asher Smith won’t make the final on her heat performance. She doesn’t look in her best form.
  15. Yuliya Yefimova has served a ban and was very lucky to avoid a second.
  16. But there is proof Russia should have been banned from these games and none of their athletes should be there even if Rylov himself has never been directly accused nor has had a notably suspicious career.
  17. The final swimming relays will be explosive now. Russia v USA might see podium protests and more and more accusations of Russian doping. Here in the UK the British media are already counting any medal denied by Russians as an honorary medal.
  18. Most athletes are pretty good at avoiding positive tests now a days (including probably many British and American ones).

  21. And that is what can seen as suspicious, Rylov was already at a pretty decent level before the exposure of the State Sponsored Doping. German TV said virtually every single Russian at the 2012 Olympics was on something.
  22. Biles and Osaka have meant the head of GB Rowing will always be sacked if there is any accusations of mental health damage. Did Katherine Grainger get on with him or not - Thornley did so I presume so but different members of the same crew can have different perspectives of the same events and person. It was reported that some other rowers didn’t rate Paul Thompson’s coaching of Grainger and Thornley in 2916
  23. I would be surprised if FINA really want to take on the Americans.
