  1. So can we see the results anywhere? Specifically the womens 49kg?
  2. So we've seen all the crews now. Men's four and quads have no chance really. Not much was expected. A B final would be nice for both of them but they're ranked dead last for now Of the possible qualifiers LW men double - won heat. Should be no problem qualifying Men Double - 2nd behind the USA. In contention for the final, but I expect them to qualify Men's Pair - 2nd behind Spain. A pleasant surprise. Very hopeful they'll qualify now LW women's double - 2nd behind Romania. Qualification on a knife edge but a very decent start Women's double - Excellent win ahead of Lithuania. Was worried about this very new combo but should qualify now. Women's pair - 2nd behind Netherlands. Full expect them to qualify now Women's four - 3rd behind GBR and Australia but they both expect medals here. A final isn't out of reach, but they're one of 9 crews who think they can get the 7 spots
  3. No real restrictions on entries. There’s plenty of info on the pre-event stuff here Click on information tab
  4. No disrespect to the other nations there, but the GB flag really stands out in rowing terms!
  5. Is the longines tracker down? EDIT - it came back
  6. Worth mentioning Trapote who was double clear over the two (non speed) rounds too. He's 12th on 8.11 after a poor opening speed round
  7. My spreadsheet has been a disaster today
  8. oops I miscalculated on Switzerland! Gold Silver Bronze
  9. Ireland and Switzerland for silver and bronze. Order TBC
  10. Yes. Their worst score could be 13.51 and the best score anyone else can get is 14 (Ireland) Silver and bronze between Ireland, Spain and Switzerland
  11. gets the third quota Congrats to
  12. Thanks I edited it immediately as I forgit Austria were next in line!
  13. gets the first quota on offer. quickly follows
  14. Quick look there. Only one of the 14 events didn’t have a non-European finalist last time out (men’s single) but it did have 3 of the 12 semi finalists from outside Europe (Brazil, Canada & Japan)
  15. 17 different countries won medals in Tokyo. 11 different countries won gold. Of the 14 golds won, 8 of them won by non-European nations Only gold won by Romania in Tokyo. 1 of 2 won by Ireland, Greece. 1 of 3 by Croatia One of the only sports where the USA didn’t win a medal Overall I think that’s a decent record.
  16. Denmark is out as only the top 10 advance 3 quotas between
  17. We still have a relatively small group of rowers so an injury to one/two and we have to think about pulling out teams. Particularly in the heavyweight men where we’ve struggled traditionally. Some of the focus for them this year was on the world u23 rather than the World Cup too it seems Management deserve the benefit of any doubt with selections etc as they’ve proven they can build medal winning crews
  18. The lightweight events were brought in to broaden the diversity, but they're getting rid of them. Without being facetious, as long as countries like the US and GB are around, there'll always be a place for the "iconic" eights
  19. Top 10 after second round 1. 9.31 (quota) 2. 9.51 (quota) 3. 9.92 4. 10.00 (quota) 5. 16.77 6. 18.42 7. 19.29 (quota) 8. 21.59 9. 22.47 (quota) 10. 24.42 (quota) Less than a point between top 4!
  20. That’s exactly right. Most of the events will only add 2 more boats from the final Olympic qualifier next year. Singles and lightweight events have continental qualifiers too
  21. Men’s four among the teams listed on rowing Ireland’s social media. This is usually the first sign of any chances so looks like they’re all ready to go
  22. Overall top 10 after day one 1. 1.51 (quota) 2. 1.92 3. 5.31 (quota) 4. 6.00 (quota) 5. 8.77 6. 9.42 7. 9.84 8. 10.47 (quota) 9. 10.50 10. 12.42 (quota)
