  1. There'll be two athletes from Lithuania here: 1. Agnė Šerkšnienė, 400m. She recently broke the Lithuanian indoor 400m. record hence why she is here. 2. Dovilė Dzindzaletaitė, triple jump, also broke the Lithuanian indoor record this winter, but she qualified here through rating. Airinė Palšytė was qualified as well, but has decided to skip the winter season completely due to some issues.
  2. Honestly, as a person that has been with this contest from the very start, I am absolutely, horribly disappointed with how this forum has NO SPINE what so ever. You're basically telling to every other participant that we can do whatever we want and as long as we have some graphic skills, we're welcomed with open arms. May I remind you all, that there is message proof where our beloved Bestmen says himself THAT HIS VOTES ARE RIGGED and his decisions are PURELY RANDOM. Not to mention the harassment of other TISC hosts year after year on top of many other instances of ludicrous behaviour. The lines with "we can't have a song contest without Algeria" are a bit ridiculous to me, because we've had them before (without Algeria) and they were great. If we're okay with a person that shows constant signs of disrespectful behaviour and even admits to breaking the rules of this very contest, well then this 10th edition of TISC is not in any way special to me. I'm a person that values music, a person that values honesty, a person that respects the rules and probably a person that takes this way too seriously, but I love everything that we have done here and it hurts me that a single snake is trying to ruin everything year in and year out, yet no action is taken. If you do not think that this is serious, the last contest was won by 5 points. I'm sorry to bring this issue up again on @vinipereira and @titicow moment, but nobody gave a f*** after my contest, nobody gave a f*** after @uk12points contest, nobody gave a f*** after @amen09 contest and nobody will probably give a f*** now, because I don't have a moving picture to prove my point.
  3. Hm, we opened these championships with a 31st place from Romanov (and an amazing last lap, I might add) and a 39th place from Jesipionok (1st range time, 4 total shooting time). Other than that, the day was marked with uncharacteristically bad shooting. Best shot of the day from our team was Romanov with 2+2+0+0. Dindaitė failed the standing shooting miserably with 0+4+0+3. Very below average shooting performances for Fomin, Kaznačenko and Mačkinė (though some might argue that Mačkinė always misses half the targets in every race) Though, there are good signs as well, even though Romanov took a higher placement today, I think that all eyes are on Ana, whom would have won bronze if she stayed clear. Also, it's very interesting how Linas Banys will do in his races, I'm expecting more good results, because Otepaa is just like racing at home for our folks.
  4. You know how biathlon always takes talented cross-country skiers and teaches them to shoot in the quest of forming the perfect biathlete? I know that Serbia definitely has some great athletes in shooting, maybe an experiment is in order to see how good they'd be on skis?
  5. From one Oeberg to another
  6. I didn't really get to see any Olympics this year due to an extreme workload at the time Just caught some biathlon races here and there and still had to skip some lectures to catch the men's sprint/pursuit. Probably won't be able to follow these championships live either, but I'm a very avid results reader
  7. A friendly reminder to Biathlon fans, Youth and Junior World Championships are starting tomorrow morning with two individual races
  8. Eh, saddest medal loss ever for me and on a tie breaker. It was a good chance to get another medal in Biathlon, but somehow with Biathlon being such an unpredictable sport, I always manage to rank fairly well Congrats to the medalists.
  9. I thought he was disqualified from future contests due to his inproper behaviour.
  10. I feel like I'm going to lose the prediction contest medal by like a point I didn't put Germany in, because I believed in Austrian magic far too much. Julian, I'm looking at you
  11. I think Italy just made a mistake With Alexia Runggaldier, she would have been slower, but I think a 10/10 is pretty much guaranteed, Nicole Gontier is a bigger risk/higher reward type of situation, but it's a 50/50 with her shooting.
  12. Dorothea Wierer and Lukas Hofer ending these Olympics with a medal? Well, that's awesome, I really wanted them to get something The biggest irony of these entire Olympics is how Kaisa Makarainen has always been let down by her teammates in relays, often not even starting in them, saving her energy. Yet today, this mixed relay equaled her best Olympic result - 6th place in 2014 Mass Start.
  13. I'm the Kaisa Makarainen of Eurovision today
  14. As expected: Jury Votes: 4th Televote: 12th Final Placement: 8th My Eurovision journey is over My influence is not big enough.
  15. I believe it's nearly over for me Lithuania just simply does not like me Not famous enough for them yet.
  16. Welp, the televote is not looking kind to me today as I assumed
  17. I believe you can rewind the translation a bit
  18. Ah, it's starting. I think you can catch it on http://www.lrt.lt/mediateka/tiesiogiai/lrt-televizija if you're interested, I'll be performing second.
  19. I'm growing my fanbase for TISC 2018
  20. Gerūta: Yes, I also liked the song. It's good that it's a song for the ballad lovers and for those that like up-tempo. Very good vocals and congratulations, I'm congratulating everyone today, but nonetheless, I really liked it. Vaidas: Yes, this song is a bit similar to the one that we competed with, although ours had a bit more of a country vibe. This sort of music is very popular, Ed Sheeran performs this style of music, I really liked it and I support performers that are good vocalists. There were four of you, you clearly knew what you were singing and what you were doing. The idea with the circle was also well thought off and all of you sang well, I listen to this sort of music, the world listens to this sort of music and we need such music. And I think that this performance tonight was one of the best. Ramūnas: Vaidas already said everything. I started thinking that when we're picking our Eurovision song, we're always looking for something very different and special. In this song, there is nothing different or special, but when we're looking for something special, we usually miss the opportunity at seeing a really good POP song and I think that this song is a good POP song. It's very melodic and memorable in which everything is well structured. Perhaps I wouldn't be the biggest fan of what you're doing on stage, because at times it just looked like you were walking around and looking at each other. I think that in three minutes there's still space to come up with something, but this song is already stuck in my head, it's a catchy song that could do well in Eurovision. I don't know about possible grammatical errors or something, but I did this in a hurry
  21. Thanks, it's the second round and I'm 4th in the jury vote, again 6 pass through to the next show and I don't have a good relationship with the televote
  22. Honestly expected a bit more of an inspiring answer
  23. @vinipereira So, how's the feeling of creating a logo for your own contest for a change?
  24. I don't think the powers of luck are going to be strong enough for this one
  25. In a couple of hours I'll probably get destroyed by the televote, can't wait
