  1. Surfing competitions started today, I was taking a look at the confronts, and we have Rosas against Barona on first heat. They made the final at Lima, and Rosas got the gold and the Olympic Spot, but Rosas reached the qualifying position in the ISA Games, and "gave" her spot from Panamerican to Barona. I still remember Barona's celebration after the official confirmation, she even went to hug Rosas while she was getting out the sea. Now, they face each other too soon
  2. @Olympian1010 another victory in Baseball, now against Cuba... I am already delusional, we are going to win gold medal at LA
  3. In the Brazilian transmission they explained that. The organization decided to prolong the gap between the events, giving some time to make the processes in a good way
  4. Lets see if our federation dont forget the requirements this time.
  6. Could you share again that your work showing the quotas for each day?
  7. Btw, very sad we dont take the quota in Women's Rifle 10m. I was expecting that competition would be the best chance for our athlete.
  8. Yeah, I was taking a look at the start list, and only the guy isn't a top skateboarder. Many of them may qualify to Olympics
  9. I am wondering how many breakers we will have in this competition. Like maximum three per country? Then we gonna have 6 athletes, and only?
  10. Where do you think the Opening Ceremony would be? I would love to have this event taking place in my city. As you said, so easy to go everywhere. But why do you think they would have much more work to do? The venus are basically done. The problem could be the distances from a village to the venues, but the public transportation usually works fine in these kind of events.
  11. Ok, we beat in Baseball. Can I start dreaming about Olympics, ow it's still too sooner?
  12. Venues arent an issue here. We have plenty of stadiums and arenas already built to host most of the Panamerican Sports. Even Surfing could be held in an artificial pool haha. But I cant see Brazil trying to host Olympics again in a near future.
  13. Yeah, the men's quota for Brazil is trhough reallocation from Panamerican Championship.

  19. Copy "Whimsical"> Paste in Google Translate> Understand the meaning! Thanks for the new word It reminds me some new sphere in Las Vegas, which also I would describe as whimsical

  21. I think any sport is much more established there in USA, and in any other country, than Breaking. They had to arrange an entire sytem of pontuation, competitions and explain to the dancers what is to be an athlete. I know many of you are not fan of it, but I think it's a little unfair to pick it to an Olympic event, and cut it off before even the athletes step in it. The same applies to what happened to Karate, and may happen which some of these new sports to the next Olympics. Btw, my opinion about those new sports Lacrosse - What can I say? I believe if you ask to a Brazilian what this is, they may not know that it's a sport. And, as I saw some posts before, looks this will be a 6-team competiton, like Flag Football, Baseball/Softball and Cricket. That's a terrible decision, and make the competition even more uninteresting for those people from countries where it's not so popular. I don't know if Lacrosse will survive until the next cycle. Flag Football - So, it could be good for Brazil. We took part in the last World Games, and if I am not wrong, we finished in 4th position. In Brazil, American Football is very popular, we may even have some NFL matches in our soil in the next years. So, this could help to improve our performance, but, again, 6-team competition... Also, I have never watched this kind of competition, and I have seen it might be quite boring to watch. I think you have watched a little bit of it @Olympian1010, what do you think? Cricket - So, Brazilian women's team isn't so bad, but 6-team competition... Anyway, I think it's deserved to a very popular sport for so many people take part at Olympics Baseball/Softball - I like these sports, and for me they would be in the official list of Olympic Sports. I know that venues are always a problem for the hosts, and the high number of quotas used by them, but they look very olympic for me. I just don't understand why always Baseball for men, and Softball for women, on this way they will never improve the opposite genre in each discipline. Squash - The most deserved among all of these. They have been trying to join it for so long, and finally the rewards. I hope they can keep it for a long period. Also, do you think we are going to have big changes on some events? I have seen someone commenting about changes in Rowing events. Do you expect a new discipline from any IF? For instance, I think ISA would love to add paddle events on it.
