  1. Ollie Martin was a breakout star for me. Didn't win a medal, but he is legit. Japan is really starting to dominate this sport, like you mentioned. The men's snowboard halfpipe was one of my favorite events of these Olympics. The progression in that event, the amplitude on each hit, just a spectacle to watch.
  2. Our country needed those wins. Both of them. Such a storybook ending, especially for the men. - Avenging the OT losses from 2010 and last year - Winning gold for Johnny Gaudreau - Winning probably the most talented hockey game ever seen Both gold medal games will be some of the best memories coming out of these Olympics.
  3. 2 golds and a silver is pretty good. Obviously, Ilia was disappointing in the free skate, but it is what it is. He'll bounce back and be even better in 2030. Alysa Liu was the breakout star in America for these Olympics. Love her attitude and her skating. Still think Chock & Bates deserved gold. Regardless, great Olympics for them.
  4. Yeah, love the Bergsma mullet lol Great Olympics for Stolz. Sweep is a hard ask, but top four in all four events is great!
  5. Definitely some results to build on. The addition of Wright to USA is so huge. Hopefully he can get better and find a podium in 2030.
  6. Have fun! Why do they have the national championships so quickly after the Olympics? Very happy with our curling performances. Wish the women's team ended with a medal, but they overperformed my expectations. Same with the men's team. Was good for them to gain some Olympic experience. Cory/Korey were awesome. Wanted them to win gold, but silver is still an incredible result.
  7. Yup. Definitely feel like we've improved. Maybe the partnership with Norway has helped? Looking forward to seeing how we do in 2030.
  8. Awesome results for our bobsled team. Del Duca coming 4th in the two-man was exciting. So glad Elana finally got the gold. One of my favorite moments of these Olympics. Humphries was very consistent and impressive as well. Two medals for her!
  9. Happy with our results in Cross Country Skiing. Wish Diggins got one more medal in the 50km in her final Olympic race, but I'm proud of her for gutting through these two weeks with the injury she sustained in the skiathlon. Going to miss watching her race at the Olympics. One of my favorite Olympians in recent memory. (there will be a documentary about her this week on Peacock). Ogden was a pleasant surprise. Didn't expect us to contend in any men's events, but Ogden was a huge breakout star of these games.
  10. From a perspective: Elana Meyers Taylor winning monobob, Alysa Liu winning women's figure skating, Shiffrin winning women's slalom & both our hockey teams winning gold From an international perspective: Klaebo dominating cross country skiing events Shaidorov winning men's figure skating Franjo von Allmen dominating men's alpine skiing Kingsbury winning gold in dual moguls Netherlands dominating short track now??!?!?! Lucas winning gold for Brasil and South America In reality, all the athletes are winners for sacrificing so much to participate in these Olympics. What an incredible games full of unpredictable and inspiring moments!
  11. Was a great show to cap off a historic WOG for us
  12. I think it's tied to world rankings and Del Duca is 23rd in that
  13. Looks like this will be a battle between &
  14. Yeah that was bound to happen. Great start to the third period by
  15. Anyone know why we didn't send athletes for ski cross?
  16. What a Thursday!! Women's hockey gold and women's figure skating gold all within an hour or so! Need one more gold medal to break that string of 9 golds at WOG.
  17. Amber Glenn stays in first after the entire next group. Any chance she sneaks on the podium?
  18. Why the intermission... Let's play!!!
