A volunteer just got hit with a foul ball right in the thigh. Very close to the nuts. threatened with an early double, but nothing came from it.

Canada could have won that game if the coach would’ve held the runner at 3rd base. USA didn’t get timely hits today. They left too many runners on base. Not a convincing win, but a win is a win. I’m interested to see what Japan does in a bit.

Just finished watching replays of the games: vs : Honestly, I’m not that shocked that we lost, but I am shocked at how bad we played. USA looked flat. Sweden played very well & will likely contend for a medal. vs : Brazil looked very good. Marta is still killing it. They are going to be tough to beat. vs : Canada just kinda sat back after their early goal. Should’ve cost them the game if Japan didn’t miss that penalty. vs : I still expect USA to beat both of these teams. I didn’t watch the vs & vs games.

played well on defense, especially pitching. They do need to play better on offense if they want to beat . did play well though. Cicchitti pitched well for them.
