We're happy with hosting the hockey tournament from time to time. We're a small country, hosting the Olympics might be possible in multiple decades from now.

Actually, we submitted a bid for the 2006 Olympics, which we eventually didn't really expand on. The 2022 Polish bid also included some events in Slovakia.

I still think it's crazy that countries get to host the Olympics after only six years have passed since the last event. Not saying it's bad, but it's interesting to look at.

Based on the numbers, it looks we're gonna have 7 or 8 active NHLers in the roster. Also, it seems the NHL is also including players which aren't currently active (only 7 Germans played at least a game this season, not 9).
