Antoricci87 reacted to Sindo in Totallympics after Milano Cortina 2026 - Will you keep visiting Totallympics before the next Olympic Games?
The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics have now officially come to an end. These were the fourth Winter Olympic Games since Totallympics was founded, and the eighth Olympic Games overall, including the Summer editions!
I truly hope you enjoyed these Games, and even more, that you enjoyed experiencing them here on Totallympics!
The Olympic period always brings strong emotions, both positive and negative. Passion is what makes sport special, but sometimes frustration can spill over into comments on the forum. I hope no one felt hurt or upset by other users’ posts. I did my best to act quickly by editing or removing provocative comments, but I may have missed something along the way. If anyone felt offended by a post that was not removed, I sincerely apologize.
Now, after a well-deserved rest, it’s time to look ahead. Our focus shifts to Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympic Games, and the road has already begun: the first direct Olympic qualification event starts in less than two weeks with the 2026 World Baseball Classic (check out our 2026 Qualification Calendar for all the details!), and many other indirect qualifications have already begun.
Some clubs were extremely active during the Games, and I hope you enjoyed following the Olympics together with your compatriots. Now it’s time to switch into “LA28 mode”! Please make sure your club includes a dedicated section for Los Angeles 2028, and feel free to start opening threads related to qualification events and early predictions. This is a great opportunity to attract new users, and whenever new members join Totallympics, I will make sure they are invited to their respective national club.
To create new sections or reorganize threads within a club, you need to be an “owner” of that club. But don’t let the name intimidate you, it’s much simpler than it sounds! Each club can have multiple owners, and it does not require any special skills or a significant time commitment. If you would like to help organize content, create new sections, or manage threads more efficiently, just contact me and I will gladly grant you the necessary permissions.
Also, if anyone would like to change their username, this might be the right time to do so, whether it’s a small adjustment (a letter, a number, capitalization) or a complete change, feel free to contact me. I can update it for you without the need to create a new account.
And finally, a classic post-Olympic question: Will you continue visiting Totallympics on the road to LA28?
Thank you to everyone who contributed during these weeks. The Games may be over, but the journey on Totallympics continues. I look forward to seeing you around the forum very soon!

e gareggiano sì e no 4/5 paesi

What a disgrace! Sport is not a football transfer market. I don't understand why they give passports to people who have no connection with Italy. And then maybe we shouldn't give citizenship to people who were born and have lived in Italy for 18 years.

more surprises Today
for what concerns , Today it was definitely a better day, but still not completely satisfying (Ferracuti's loss in the round of 16 hurts)
Tomorrow the Para-Karate will be on stage in the morning, then in the afternoon it's time for the Quarterfinals and Semifinals in all the Kata and Kumite classes, in order to set up Sunday's big medal session

I had the privilege of going to the Beijing 2022 Olympics because I happened to live there and no one else was allowed into the city due to zero Covid. Got to go to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for free (along with a hockey game).
Anyway, during the Closing Ceremonies a Russian was honored with winning gold in one of the last events. A guy I didn't know from two seats down (because we were spaced out) leaned over and asked me how long until that gold was taken away due to doping. We laughed.
I don't even know if it was eventually. I just know that Canada was robbed of a bronze in figure skating team event after Russian doping. It's just like clockwork, why even bother? I'm part Ukrainian, so yes the war, but Russian athletes with help from their government, can't seem to stop themselves. They even dope in curling. Enough already.

Personal. 1 man and 1 woman with 1 substitute for each (in case of injury). No other athletes will be allowed.
The same approacj for all ISU disciplines. No new neutral athletes may appear. On the contrary the list may be shortened if neutrality rules will be / were violated by someone
By the way, FIS`s decison means that no russians in ski and snowboarding at the Paralympics.

great results for in these finals!
Bianca Seregni established herself once again in the elite of the Olympic Triathlon by finishing 2nd in Today's women's race and 5th in the WCh final ranking, meanwhile Alessio Cruciani was 3rd in Today's men's event and 7th in the overall ranking, by far the best results for us in the last 20 years, at least

Antoricci87 reacted to Cobi in Ski Mountaineering Discussion | Qualification to Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026
Ana Alonso , silver medal in the mixed relay and 4th place in sprint race at the last Worlds, has been hit by a car while training and suffered very serious injuries, so she won't be able to make it to the Olympics. At this point it is not even sure if she will be able to compete again.

Antoricci87 reacted to Federer91 in Athletics Discussion | Qualification to Summer Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028
Given that LA 2028 is going to be mid-July, I think it would be good to slot the European Championships in mid/late August. This way many more top names would consider participating, especially if they have had a subpar Olympics.
But their "genius" move like usual is to have it in June, where most people will skip it, as to not jeopardize their form/health before LA.
