  2. Australia 1st qualified for Tokyo.
  3. Fiba Americas 6/7 in round of 16. Europe will be 8 or 9/12 Asia and Africa --> all out.
  4. A victory would be inmense for Iran given China is about to lose.
  5. I'm happy for Nigeria. This african quota will probably be decided on points difference since I don't see Tunisia losing to either Angola or Philippines. Nigeria already has an advantage with the +42 they just scored on Korea but they will have a tough opponent in Venezuela/China. For Senegal it will be almost impossible since they have to play Canada and Germany.
  6. Brazil just beat Greece and you still ignore them
  7. Awful day for our olympic hopes. Greece choked as well, missing a FT to tie in the last second. At least watching USA play so average gives me hope that Greece and Brazil could knock them out of the QF.
  8. I can't believe this 4 consecutive FTs missed to win the match NEVER seen a situation like this.
  9. Wtf Turkey doesn't want to win!
  10. Turkey had it, almost lost it in a dumb way, and now with luck they go to overtime.
  11. Noooo idiots
  12. Pls Turkey let's go 12 seconds.
  13. This USA team can lose to many teams, not just Serbia.
  14. That is Muñeca Brava. For some strange reason the show was incredibly popular in places like Russia or Israel, I would say even more popular than here. And it ends with her marrying the rich dude, because obviously that should be the dream of any poor person
  15. That's a bit controversial here because private schools are generally for wealthier kids and I don't remember a SINGLE of those kind of tv shows in which the kids attend a state school. It's like depicting poverty is banned in those fantasy worlds.
  16. Schools runs from March to December. Exact day of start varies with the region. No presents of any kind to the teacher unless you, for some personal reason, want to give him/her one (which would make you seem like the teacher's pet anyway haha). In private schools you have to wear the school uniform every year. In state schools, it depends of your age: in primary school kids wear a sort of mandatory white lab coat ("guardapolvo"). In secondary school (ages 12-18), students wear whatever they want.
  17. Yes, you right. Wikipedia says only results between teams that qualified are counted but, curiously, when you read the source they quote it says the opposite.
  18. Summer games: Best in numbers were Amsterdam 28 & London 48 (3-3-1 both times). Worst were Montreal 76 and LA 84, zeroed both times with over 60 athletes. A very dark age for both the country and it's sport. In winter olympics it has been always been the same: nothing.
  19. Nooo Poland. Overtime.
  20. OMG what a silly turnover for China.
  21. There will be a round for eliminated teams with groups for positions 17-32. Even eliminated teams still have many games to play, Nigeria just needs that Tunisia doesn't advance to top 16 to have a chance.
  22. No. Only one goes for Africa. And Tunisia is not qualified, they have to beat Puerto Rico for that.
  23. A ban for booing? What totalitarian fantasy is that? As long as nobody is hurt or they don't disrupt the game the spectators should be able to express themselves as they wish.
  24. While the tone of the article is frankly hilarious, there is no way around it... his country is actively sabotaging his career. If not for another nation he should be allowed as refugee or independent athlete next year. If Iran is suspended every other israel-boycotting nation should be as well, of course. Yes, probably nothing will change in those countries but in the sport world the rules are these... and sport-ruling bodies aren't the UN, every country is legally binded to their decisions if they want to take part.
