  1. Predictions... Germany and India are qualified already. Ned 95% - 5% Pak Can 51% - 49% Irl Esp 60% - 40% Fra GB 75% - 25% Mas NZ 60% - 40% Kor Too bad for France, they got the worst opponent while being the best team from pot 3. Probably their olympic return will have to wait 4 years.
  2. My predictions: Aus 99% - 1% Rus Ger 95% - 5% Ita GB 90% - 10% Chi Esp 65% - 35% Kor Irl 60% - 40% Can Ind 65% - 35% Usa Chn 45% - 55% Bel
  3. That's probably Brian Arregui, the YOG champion.
  4. Just saying... Cuba won the NORCECA men's championship. They defeated the A team of Canada and the B team of USA. They even had visa problems to enter Canada and because of that they only played with 9 players! Roberlandy Simón returned to the team for this competition. Hopefully we will see a few more returns soon. Really promising in perspective for the olympic qualifier.
  5. Lately I feel like FAB has completely given up on the men's team and is focusing everything on the Sánchez sisters.
  6. Teams from pot 4 clearly will want to draw GB. The chance for an upset would still be little but with rubbish the british girls are playing lately it isn't impossible unlike with Australia or Germany. As for the other pots, the ones from 3 will want to avoid Belgium. Overall, I think the women's play-offs will be much more exciting than the men's.
  7. I was hoping for a Serbia win to avoid them but after watching Spain in this level I think it's the same. Anyway, Serbia wasn't really that bad, they just forgot their 3P% at the hotel.
  8. Serbia has missed so many easy baskets and 3s...
  9. Out in what sense, injury? Edit: fouled out I see.
  10. At HT Nigeria +4 and Iran +14 for now both with olympic quota.
  11. Still haven't confirmed what they will do but if they don't accept the quota they are indeed out of the olympics and their place will be taken by the highest ranked loser of these play-offs.
  12. No male player born in the 90s has yet won a GS. This girl was born in 2000...
  13. You say the same in almost every contest difficult to believe from someone that has a million posts on a sports forum, majority of them results.
  14. The president is argentinian and the VP peruvian I think....
  15. You mean ISA or WSL?
  16. We will never know as the second match is a tie... Australia men will qualify tomorrow even losing by 3 goals. In the women's each team won one so the third match will be a h2h. However NZ will qualify in case of a draw.
  17. Gold: - the Soviet is better. Silver: - Epic. When I think of power I think of this anthem. Bronze: - Beautiful medley of languages. Its "twin anthem" of is not as good. Special mentions: Also, as mentioned above is fantastic.
  18. Brazil already 3 doping cases at pan american games. Now volleyball player Rodriguinho. According to some sources there will be a 4th one.
  19. It's funny how they avoided each other even in this round. And it could be the same with Argentina and Brazil in QF if one finishes 1st and the other 2nd in their pools.
  20. My prediction is that Nigeria and Iran will qualify. Nigeria is simply better than China and although Iran is not very consistent Philippines is the absolute worst team of this competition so far.
  21. Ok, summing up the fight for african and asian quotas.... Africa Tunisia can qualify if a) they beat Angola and Nigeria loses to China OR b) in the case they both win or both lose, if they can have a better result than Nigeria to cut the big point difference between them (NGR +41, TUN -11). If neither thing happens, Nigeria will qualify. Asia Iran can qualify only if they beat Philippines and China loses to Nigeria AND they cut the PD with China (CHN +3, IRI -13 currently). For example, if China loses by 1, Iran has to win by 15. If one of the two doesn't happen, China will qualify.
  22. I'm still waiting for olympicsfan's take on Germany's performance.
