  1. defeated 10-2. Biggest score in history.
  2. Some random predictions: - Brazil will lose to at least one of GER, IRI and CUB (but probably still qualify). - Turkey will beat at least one of JPN, SLO or SER. - China won't win more than one match.
  3. will be 7th. Half of the 33 golds from 2019 are basically impossible to win again. I don't even see how to reach 20.
  4. France played the main team (they shouldn't have) while Namibia rested players for Uruguay.
  5. "International eyes" = western europe/USA, who bitch all the time about stuff only they care about but since they are powerful we're all supposed to pretend it's the most important thing in the world.
  6. Alvarez is a substitute sometimes only because Haaland is in the same team, he starts for almost every other club in the world. I do wonder which are those "top 10 clubs" you mention though. I'm guessing Bayern, Madrid, Barcelona, City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, I guess you're including Chelsea and PSG and?
  7. The lack of quality in defense is appalling. Even the only good defender (Rudiger) looked like a scarecrow in the 3rd goal. But maybe they were trying to get the coach fired, who knows.
  8. England had a red card 2 minutes into the match...
  9. The most embarassing performance of all time. Should just withdraw from the competition today.
  10. I wouldn't write off anyone this time. Paraguay, Peru and Chile are very weak. Venezuela will 100% have a better campaign than the last time (for a variety of reasons). The top 5 are clear. There's a big distance in my view.
  11. defeated They also won vs (12th in WR) but lost to and
  12. We have the best entry time in W 800, 1500 and 4th best in 400? I'm hopeful now.
  13. Not really IMO, to put it very simply: any team inside the top 10 of ranking is almost certain to qualify for Paris. I don't see Argentina or Brazil dropping below those places by June next year.

  15. Only now I discover this table and we have 0 got to be the most pathetic fact of our sport.
  16. 5-8 Places 4-3 4-3 Bronze 2-0 Final 2-1 Qualified to olympic games.
  17. No, the men have improved. In the past they would usually lose quite easily to the elite teams, now the match is not lost before the start at the very least. In the recent pro league season they defeated (without the need of a shoot-out) all the top teams at least once. At the last world cup they only lost on a SO to Germany but showed solid performances throughout. At the COG they narrowly lost to Australia after leading 2-0. The trend is that England just doesn't lose without giving a fight to anyone anymore and I believe they can fight for a medal in Paris even if it's not a gold.
  18. As a start italians call rowing "canotaggio" so I bet many of them think they are one and the same sport (One of my favorite "false friends" in spanish-italian).
  19. It's not impossible but I doubt they will.
  20. I was expecting them to win actually... They will probably meet Angola in the consolation round and that should decide the african quota (I don't see any other african team advancing or winning more than one game).
  21. Germany despite being world champions usually are an inconsistent team (their results in pro league as proof). England/GB are probably the most improved team since Tokyo. Still, Netherlands is likely taking the ticket to Paris. Men's hockey is a toss up right now. The medals next year could go to any of the top 5/6 teams in any order.
  22. 5-8 place pool 4-1 1-2 Semifinals 2-3 (4) 0-0 (5)
  23. Can't Kopasz and Varga just fuck off to K2? That way they can both have a gold medal.
