    I think in your particular case it doesn't really matter because Argentina still has me and konig as long time representatives... so argentine participation is not in risk nor it is a "one-off" thing, which is what Sindo is talking about.

    Higuaín and Agüero are both garbage playing for Argentina. It wouldn't change anything.

    Argentina played well today, but just can't put the ball inside the goal. It doesn't matter anymore... I'm already mentalized we won't play the WC.

    Well, bad day for Argentina at the games... all 3 tennis finals lost (to my shock). To make it worse two of them to Colombia... I think it's safe to say now that Colombia will surpass us (even if barely) on the medal table at the end. Good job from Delfina Pignatiello (like always) winning by herself 3 golds, 3 silvers and 2 bronzes in swimming.

    I think Denmark is already secured of at least play-offs, but these results in England's group are very good news for Sweden/Netherlands. If Scotland doesn't win their final game in Slovenia, then you can play without worries about other groups.

    What I'm sure of is that Cyprus is gonna gift those 3 points to Greece so... got to pray for that WAL-IRL draw (I feel though that Wales could also drop points to Georgia away, in a bad day).

    There is still hope for Slovakia, they have to win (with many goals if possible) and wait for Scotland to not to. And then wait for either: a) Wales-Ireland to end in draw (i'm assuming they will beat Georgia and Moldova respectively in the previous match) or b) Bosnia to lose to Belgium and Greece to not beat Cyprus away (i'm assuming they will beat Estonia and Gibraltar respectively in the last match)

    Syria and Australia draw in first leg of asian play-off. Looks like Syrian dream won't become reality. 5h to go for Argentina-Peru, will Argentina fail to qualify? I think yes

    Another day at the south american youth games and very productive one for the team with 5 golds (2 in tennis, 3 in boxing), already surpassing the numbers of Lima 2013 and keeping the distance with Colombia in the race for 2nd place. Tomorrow more gold medal chances with 3 tennis finals and an "easy" Girls 400m Freestyle. Maybe it will be posible to catch something in gymnastics apparatus too.

BTW the correct title of the song is the one I wrote above, not the one in the video, but it doesn't really matter There is spanish lyrics in the video and an english translation below (I tried my best with it, but the lyrics are bit difficult).

    Barcelona should go to french league then. If they accept Monaco, why not catalan clubs too.

    Another day wraps up at the south american youth games... great day for Argentina with 6 golds and all victories in tennis (looking likely that there will be argentines in all 5 finals). Still, Colombia will catch up when the athletics, weightlifting and track cycling start. Only Panama, Guyana and Suriname are still to win a medal.

    I think it will be Colombia 2nd, Argentina 3rd and Chile 4th. Also why we have things like MTB eliminator and mixed team fencing but not any sailing or shooting?? don't tell me it's to help Chile at least it's not as ridiculous as 4 years ago when we had weightlifting golds for both snatch and C&J.

    Today started the competition at the south american youth games in Santiago The "preview" of Buenos Aires 2018. Argentina already won 3 golds, in women's triathlon and swimming freestyle 50 and 800. Maybe if there is enough interest we can have a thread, but maybe no.

    You should also throw out sports like waterpolo or handball too because they didn't exist back then either, but that's not the point I'm making. The competition between nations is the very basic core of the games, If you even ditch that then it's not the olympic games anymore, other than in name.

    I'm with Gianlu. The forced gender equality is bad, but this stupidity would be worse. The point of the olympic games (I mean, from ancient greece) was athletic competition between nations (cities/kingdoms back in the day) and crowning national heroes. This would throw away all that tradition just for the sake of "inclusion".
