  2. has qualified their first athlete in shooting (men’s 10m air pistol) via Mohammed Bin Dallah at the African Shooting Championships
  3. Sad that Canada couldn’t win, but happy that they got a point. Wasn’t expecting us to defeat Poland anyways though. Semeniuk and Bednorz easily the two best players on the court today
  4. Loeppky happened Well… not only that, but they have seemed to improve in just about every statistical category (aces/blocks/attacks/digs). Sammelvuo doing wonders to this team. Yes, they played poorly during VNL but that’s partly due to the fact that Sammelvuo didn’t have much time beforehand with the team, having his first training session with the team only 10 days prior. (right after the club season ended for ZASKA Kędzierzyn-Koźle)
  5. defeat 3-2! 17-15 in the fifth set.
  6. After being down 9-10, Poland goes on a 4-1 run to lead 13-11
  7. 7-5 Poland lead in set five.
  8. Canada takes the fourth set 25-20, and we’re going to 5!
  9. 5-1 Canada to 9-9 in set four.
  10. Poland take the third set 25-20. I’m afraid this one is over for Canada.
  11. 15-10 Poland lead Canada in set three.
  12. Poland respond, taking the second set 25-20.
  13. 12-6 Poland lead in set two.
  14. Bednorz having himself a game.
  15. Canada takes the first set 25-21 against Poland Leon, Sliwka, and Fornal weren’t on… but still.
  16. Well even with that loss you still have a chance to qualify through the World Rankings. Two or more of Germany, Canada, and Belgium can’t qualify through the OQT though.
  17. Judo: https://olympic.ca/press/seven-judokas-announced-to-team-canada-for-santiago-2023/ B-squad with the only notable name being Shady El-Nahas.
  18. With the way Brazil’s been playing, Germany should win it in 3/4.
  19. Who says we’ll be denied? Yes that gap will be difficult to make up, but Canada’s women’s volleyball team is on the rise, and much more capable of upsets against stronger teams. Schedule isn’t out yet, but if we play you guys at VNL, and win, then at worst we’ll be 10 points behind. Of course, if we lose our Olympic hopes will pretty much be over. But counting out Canada is ridiculous at this stage as there’s still 12 matches at VNL (maybe more) left for each team to play, everything can change in an instant.
  20. Canada in wrestling and rowing
  21. Was assuming she was retired considering she hadn’t competed for Canada since 2021 (?) Great to see that she’ll be making a run for Paris! Here’s a link to the Reddit post:
  22. Padurariu retired from the NT. Olsen competed at the Canadian Trials, so either she declined her spot, or failed to make the team.
