  1. Audrey Leduc with a nightmare in the women’s 100m final though, 11.43 yeah not ideal.
  2. Another PB for Jerome Blake as he takes the men’s 100m title at the NACAC Championships in 9.95! Silver also for Tatiana Aholou in the women’s 100m hurdles in 13.01, times were slightly slow for the favourites given how decent the field was but well you can’t control that.
  3. Commentator with the “sensational save from Auger-Simmard” when in fact it was indeed Dionne who swiped the disc away and not Auger-Simmard (I thought so when watching the play, but ended up second guessing after the commentators said that, when will I ever learn…) And shockingly enough, it’s not the English commentator lady, it’s a guy this time, really kind of him to do that so she’s not the only one on the “Chengdu 2025’s commentating mistakes” compilation @heywoodu Hard for casuals to follow/understand the game when you’re getting the names wrong
  4. Heartbreaking loss in the flying disc gold medal match, with our team losing 13-12 to defending champions USA. We were slight underdogs, but we were 11-9 up, had multiple chances at 12-11 to score (only converted on one) after amazing swipe from Dionne on what looked like a sure goal and win for US. Still an amazing result getting the silver, but having a strong connection to this sport being one of the star players on my team back in elementary school makes makes it hurt even more.
  5. Enjoy the meet!
  6. That’s a heartbreaking loss was 11-9 up, had multiple chances for scores when the was up 12-11 and ended up converting on one of them… but still lost. Still winless against them in over 24 years Props to Dionne though, that play where she swiped the disc away from Finney was insane, thought that was a guaranteed goal and the win for the US but she kept them in it for just a little bit longer.
  7. Holy shit, what a swipe from #71 from the end zone.
  8. No chance. blew it. Going from 11-9 up to this…
  9. What the fuck was that turnover … And leads to a score to tie it up at 11-11, of course.
  10. Wait what, Marques Browlee is here competing in flying disc! Don’t watch him, but he’s a pretty famous YouTuber
  11. Nice turnover Jacobsen
  12. Squash doesn’t either.
  13. First action in a couple of days, watching 12+ hours per day I’ve been getting WG fatigue
  14. Well that’s not surprising. Like at all
  15. I’m not enjoying it either, but we have a bunch of medal chances in it I think so I’m going to watch it anyways
  16. Oh good, I though it was just me
  17. Must be American (before anyone comes at me I’m just kidding, Americans usually tend to be bad at geographic)
  18. Baden Masters is being live streamed on the WCT TV YouTube channel, lot of the big teams will be there. https://youtube.com/@wctworldcurlingtour?si=ueSwDVOzu_OERE7i
  19. defeat 2-1 (8-6 in the shootout) to win gold in men’s beach handball!
  20. I’m glad, otherwise we would’ve had to have a serious chat
  21. Dwayne Morin through to the semifinals in men’s point fighting -84kg kickboxing!
  22. It is better, by like a lot Orienteering has been one of my least favourite sports at these WG along with cheerleading/anything dancing/wushu. I attempted to watch it during the middle distances, my attention was on it for maybe a few minutes at most before I was like yeah nope, never again.
  23. Great analysis, I will also add that after the downhill portion of the race, there’s a cross-country skiing component (it’s really short, athletes cross it in like 5 seconds) before you reach the finish line
