  2. It's funny, Haratyk as the short, bulky Adam Nelson-kind of a guy might well be the better prospect than Bukowiecki who followed the old school Polish pattern. I guess it's all in the technique
  3. I don't think Mercedes put that much attention to wind tunnel results when following another car. They expect to be up front and rightfully so. But the dirty air influence remains the biggest F1 problem and it hasn't been solved. You must count on a driver error to get a solid shot at overtaking. This isn't the manual clutch and gear lever thing anymore. With so much electronics on the cars, drivers are less prone to make an error.
  4. I was tired of the media frenzy here in Poland. Thank God the season is over! Horngacher only extended for one year so he's as good as gone after 2019 and then it's back to Kruczek most likely if that hack Tajner is still around.
  5. They got very lucky with the Safety Car and you just can't overtake in dirty air in modern F1. On pace alone, they got their butts kicked.
  6. Kuzmina has all the Olympic gold medals to fall back on. Can't deny I was cheering for Kaisa to win the overall
  7. For the record, here are all the high bib winners in WC history. Piero Gros, Chantal Bournissen, Renate Goetschl & Anja Paerson won two World Cups with bibs of 30+.
  8. There's no way Vonn retires with Stenmark's record within her sights IMO.
  9. One bad turn from Holdener prevented another upset podium?
  10. Josef Strobl won DH in Val d'Isere 1994 with bib 61. I remember watching that race live on Eurosport since Strobl won a training run and the coverage extended all the way until his run.
  11. I have no idea how can anyone get excited with Bjoergen wins anymore... I'm only waiting for her to finally retire...
  12. Jamaica DQ. Another bullshit medal for GB...
  13. I say no. The most itchy thing was to get two Brits into the women's 400m final. Thankfully Kszczot testified in favour of Windle so GB missed the 800m medal.
  14. Did the 2nd American step on the kerb? With GB 4th I fancy another DQ
  15. Justyna Swiety on the first leg? That's shocking! Holub will anchor it... This could end ugly for Poland...
  16. Well, she was using the men's skis in training, right? I don't recall who said this about her training prgramme but it was supposedly impossible to follow for other women too.
  17. Lewandowski somehow wasn't outrun in a sprint finish despite being very poor at this...
  18. I meant the other size She was quite bulky tbh.
  19. Maslak got go lucky here... Niyonsaba wins 800m. Just freakin' shoot me....
  20. The fact Shiffrin and Holdener are scoring DH & SG podums speaks about the weak level of speed events in general. Vonn is pretty much the most athletic-looking speed speciallist but even she looked a size smaller than Brydon, Merighetti and Kamer.
  21. How do you know that? I don't read FIS press releases all that often
  22. The combined is becoming such a joke I wonder how long it takes before FIS erases this event from World Cup? The speed speciallists stand no chance of even getting a random podium anymore.
  23. It's a second gold for Kamila Zuk Btw, Dorothea Wierer is the only athlete who won three individual golds at a single WJC (2011). So Zuk can make history tomorrow by joining her
  24. Well, both Zuk & Davidova came straight from the Olympics so it's no wonder they were a class above the rest skiing-wise. Zuk will become a regular on the World Cup next season and well, she's viewed as the biggest talent in Polish biathlon EVER She became the first Polish WJC since 1973.
