  1. And we're gonna have more of these failures going forward, I wonder how long it takes before MLB pitchers will only throw fastballs because they can't learn anything else? It feels like the league is heading towards the Home Run Derby fate. I wonder when will a team score more runs across the season thru home runs only rather than actually running the bases? Is that even probable?
  2. I'd still take Putin over Vladimir Zhirinovsky (head of the Liberal Democratic Party which Furgal is a member of). I bet several Americans would be amazed how Zhirinovsky's "liberal democracy" looks like
  3. I was talking about the MLB bullpens though. The relieving system where some guys barely play a full inning before they're pulled on purpose is a joke. Days of complete games are gone and perhaps the league wants more runs at any cost but it's clear most of the bullpen arms are not good enough to play in MLB.
  4. Blue Jays reliever Sam Gaviglio gave up 2 hits & 3 runs on 21pitches allowing Rays to win 4-1. The mighty bullpen strikes again. It takes 1/3 inning to undermine all the job around. With all these minor levels in baseball it makes you wonder how bad are some of these bullpen guys who can't even survive one inning without a major mess like this? @Topicmaster1010 That red flag is flying high & proud tonight
  5. New York Jets traded their best player to Seattle Seahawks for two 1st round picks and some change. Adams was looking for a trade and blasted HC Adam Gase in the media yesterday. Seahawks have a history of missing on their 1st round picks in the Wilson era but because they usually pick in the low 20s anyway, that's a minimal damage anyway IMO. There is no hope for the Jets. Gase will probably be fired after this season and they will try to "help" Sam Darnold as long as they can but if you make your best player helluva upset you're going absolutely nowhere. Dare I say this will be another 6-10 Jets shitshow. https://www.nfl.com/news/jets-agree-to-trade-all-pro-safety-jamal-adams-to-seahawks
  6. British rapper Wiley (MBE!) has been exposed as anti-Semite. He claims Jews are like Ku Klux Klan among other things I suppose BLM activists won't support this sucker for much longer? https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-53536471
  7. Anarchy should be supressed by every form of democracy. Violence itself causes enough of a distraction. When violence kicks in, nobody cares about the "main issues" anymore. That's why Martin Luther King is more cherished than Malcolm X
  8. At the end of the day no democratic government in the world - whether conservtive or liberal - will support anarchy. Which means these protests are destined to fail. And I'm not surprised by this one bit. The police-free zone in Seattle became a failure after what, three weeks? Anarchists stand no chance against the democratic machine in XXI century - even if they use BLM to justify their cause why anarchy is supposedly the way to go.
  9. At least nobody says these are "peaceful" protests anymore. Funny how you could see this from miles away Let anarchy rule!
  10. Thank God for Jesse Owens. I bet the modern day progressives would like to wipe the Berlin OG from everyone's memory but that would mean wiping out Jesse Owens as well. And that would be a big no-no in wake of the BLM hysteria. You can't remove the first black athlete celebrity from history no matter what. And this means Berlin OG will stay. Funnily enough I watched a documentary on Sohn Kee-chung a couple of months ago and that's another reason Berlin OG will live on in memory. If anyone should apologize for Berlin 1936 it's Great Britain and their appeasement policy plus USA and their isolationism. Both of these policies led to absolute nowhere. Of course even if Germany was stopped in the 30s, Stalin would have probably started WWII ca. 1941-43 anyway but that belongs to a different section.
  11. Martin Brundle said this during the first round of the season - he expected this season to be Europe + Middle East only. USA and Brazil are the two biggest COVID hotspots right now so it's not a surprise these two races got axed from F1. And it makes no sense to have one fly away round in Mexico either.
  12. Placheta is all speed. He got lucky the pandemic break allowed him to rest before the final stretch. The ultra-physical Championship could be too physical for him but Kamil Grosicki did well enough there playing the same style so there is hope for Placheta.
  13. Someone like Dawid Kownacki who was several years younger moved to Sampdoria before and It's debatable whether he's truly a better striker considering how he flamed out there. Gytkjaer's age affects his market more than anything else IMO.
  14. I'm not a fan of Lech Poznan by any means. Well, this looks like follow the money deal. At age 30 Gytkjaer is kinda too old to make a big splash on the market, they said Monza is owned by Silvio Berlusconi so that probably explains things a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in Belgium or Holland but Serie B it is.
  15. Polish media report Christian Gytkjaer has flown to Italy where he's set to join AC Monza - newly promoted to Serie B. @Agger
  16. Christian Gytkjaer has been crowned the Polish Ekstraklasa top scorer with 24 goals yesterday. He leaves Lech Poznan after three seasons. Destination unknown @Agger
  17. Two holes left and Rahm leads by 4. New world #1 looming...
  18. Magnussen actually does score a point in 10th. Leclerc must have been more than 10 secs. behind him on the road. Hard to tell since they were both lapped anyway.
  19. 10,5 million people disagreed with you so go and figure Civic Platform really shouldn't have raised the retirement age and say there's no money for 500+. It haunts them for 5 years and counting People simply don't care about the Constitutional Court whatsoever
  20. Combat sports was the biggest letdown - we won 5 silvers in Greco-Roman wrestling and 4 bronzes in boxing. That was bad by our standards from the 60s and 70s. Biggest letdown in athletics was then 100m hurdles WR holder Grazyna Rabsztyn only finishing 5th. She bettered her own WR literally five weeks before the Games (it took Donkova six more years to beat that WR). We sucked at swimming back then, only send 8 swimmers and somehow won a single bronze medal.
  21. How does anyone living in 2020 know what "an average mindset" of someone like de Coubertin looked like? We're talking Boer Wars and Zulu uprisings where powder guns battled spears and wooden shields. I refuse to believe Englishmen, French and Belgians of that era - all colonial powerhouses - even remotely acknowledged what democracy looked like. This is as useless as Margaret Thatcher quoting Queen Victoria upon the Falklands War breakout and that was almost 40 years ago. I'm shocked the modern progressives bring up aristocrats from 130 years ago as role models to follow. I don't get this at all I thought progressives think colonialism was downright evil but guess not? Long the fooking Empires of the World!
  22. I don't watch post-race interviews for a long while now. I'd rather listen to Ron Dennis than another stupid PR talk from Hamilton how "hard" another Mercedes victory was. I'm over with these drama queens.
  23. He forgot how to drive for the last 4-5 years tbh. Just ask Mark Webber what he really thinks about Herr Vettel. Race was over after 10 laps when the rain hit the aquapark instead of the damn track. Hamilton just pissed all over everyone here but it's his favorite track after all. Watch Red Bull bitch about the Bottas jump start no-show. I'm counting on you, Herr Marko!
  24. Broken right humerus bone for Marquez. I suspect he will return at Misano in mid-September. Championship is wide open now - or Quartararo's to lose?
  25. Bottas jumped the start and still lost places like nuts.
