  1. That's what you get if you only decide to follow 5-6 top US names all the frickin' time. NBC might not realize it but at the Olympics people actually want to follow the Olympics, not the 5-6 top dogs for two weeks. It's like regular US TV, they only talk about the Lakers, Yankees or Cowboys. While at the Olympics people want to see the damn NY Jets and Sacramento Kings too!
  2. I wonder what the British press says after December 2022 when officially returns to competition? The eternal ban on Russia in sports will never happen no matter what Daily Mail or Greenbank think about it
  3. But it's NBC who is calling the shots? Plus streaming will surpass regular TV within the next decade so it's the only way to go IMO. IOC is way ahead of the curve, they know exactly where the money is coming from and it's not BBC. I once watched athletics on BBC over Eurosport (Discovery) and it was unwatchable to neutral viewers due to the UK hype. Michael Johnson had to be the voice of reason and stop telling how Brits will win every single event which the other "experts" predicted
  4. Neah, there will be no argument. UK newspapers aren't more important than IOC after all. I think UK press wants to turn the attention away from massive domestic failure in rowing where totally crapped the bed for instance.
  5. didn't make the women's 4x100 medley final.
  6. Yeah, they gave them just too much advantage on the backstretch. That would always backfire if the best guy didn't run out of gas on the last 100 meters. Btw, was also DQ in the mixed relay.
  7. doing really well. Yeah, they're only "neutral" until December 2022. I think everyone should remember that
  8. Because that is correct. Those vapor shoes will eventually get banned. The swimming suits were banned so quickly because Michael Phelps was openly agianst them back then. Btw, does anyone else find the meter gaps on screen annoying? I know it can be measured but there's absolutely no point in having this on screen all the time. Just another useless gimmick. It's totally irrelevant there's a 50m gap after four minutes of 10,000 race
  9. wins SF2. With out we have an outside shot at medals in this event.
  10. Wang Shun holds off Scott for 200 IM gold. Bronze for Andrew faded like a rock on the freestyle leg.
  11. Luis Enrique Zayas from ??? Who says foreigners are unwanted in Belarus?
  12. Kuivisto 2:00.15 NR. It sure helped she was in the final heat! 13 men over 2,28m. They should allow them all in.
  13. Rylov wins 200m backstroke! Radoslaw Kawecki 6th.
  14. Majerski in the 100m butterfly final
  15. wins women's eight!
  16. Weisshaidinger not following the national success at these Games. Two NM
  17. Every Polish expert & commentator says gold medal for is a major surprise
  18. I seem to recall Twigg was a dark horse for a medal even back in Beijing?
  19. First one to faceplant in the water is Morocco
