  1. False start in women's 400H heat Nobody DQ.
  2. 17 minutes in and vs are pulling away, This looks like a very predictable and boring event for sure. vs for bronze and everyone else doesn't matter
  3. First week of training camps and Carson Wentz is out indefinitely with a foot injury already https://www.nfl.com/news/colts-qb-carson-wentz-to-see-foot-specialist-might-need-surgery
  4. We all know if Brazil was the only DQ team nobody would give a damn about it But once they decided to re-instate USA everyone else went for a free ride.
  5. And he did say he doped for performance gains. He must be looking at Justin Gatlin soaking up all the Nike cash and think WTF. I have to say I'm not really mad at Chambers anymore. At least he was honest in the end. Put that against Marion Jones who even lied to FBI, she was so far in her denial
  6. Those trials would end in out of court settlements anyway especially if an athlete who sues USTF would be suspended during a course of such trial (which makes sense since USTF would be treated as employer - isn't that what Jess Varnish argued vs British Cycling in the UK trial?). Plus Nike (or any other sponsor) would probably pay enough money under the table for those #5 & #6 relay hopefuls so they don't file a case and block Richardson's place in the relay. Most things in USA usually come down to money in the end.
  7. Who can stop USTF from changing their OWN rules? The IOC? This is a complete technicality some lawyers make money from but casual sport fans deserve better than that. Whenever there's a will, there's a way.
  8. USTF selected Gatlin to compete so they share the blame. The "it's all IOC fault" excuse doesnt hold ground. Somehow USTF didn't let Sha'Cari Richardson to compete in Tokyo (in the relay) so it shows they can shut someone down IF they only want to.
  9. Yeah, Dwain Chambers gave us tips for free
  10. Lily King doesn't run the USTF. USA speaks high morals when accusing Russians of all the doping evil yet they allow Justin Gatlin to compete and enjoy Nike sponsorship like he's a perfect role model or something. This is a hypocrisy of the highest order. I will always point this out and indicate how two-faced Ryan Murphy's sound like now.
  11. And who authorised Nike sponsoring Salazar's doping factory? Nike has a bigger budget than the entire Africa so spare me the excuses. Unless of course you want to tell me that privately sponsored doping is okay and should be endorsed?
  12. Tell that to Alberto Salazar and his NOP programme Or just ask Kara Goucher what's really going on.
  13. And the Americans have the nerve to call out others over cheating? They got away with a blatant cheat right there. Watch them trying to extend the men's leg in the final again
  14. Well, well, well... I guess USA can really rig these Games into their favor? What an epic bullshit.
  15. But the issue here is why Russia as a country should be banned from these Games not whether Efirmova should start. And Efimova is so irrelevant these days I presume even US swimmers don't mind she's here. After all, she is not taking away any medals from them Since Justin Gatlin was allowed to take part in Rio Games as a repeated doping offender and only a hamstring injury prevented him from making Tokyo I feel like Ryan Murphy is barking at the wrong tree to begin with.
  16. When Americans don't win gold medals they always have to blame outside influence, not themselves. Sun Yang isn't here yet they don't blame Dean & Scott for taking away their medals at this distance? Efimova isn't taking away medals so now it's Rylov who has to be on doping, right? How convenient Or maybe they should blame Hafnaoui who also had the nerve to take away one of the US gold medals in 400 free. He must be on doping, right? America only loses when someone else is cheating. Ho-hum! Someone needs to tell Ryan Murphy he's not Ryan Lochte
  17. Well, I suppose 99% of Americans have no idea who Megan Kalmoe is and they still won't know who she is once the Games are over
  18. Here's the shot why were DQ in the mixed relay. The American isn't even in the same shot as the others... Oh look, there she is! The attempt for the man to run 415 meters and woman 385 has massively failed.
  19. Save for the USO default vs Carreno Busta this is Djokovic's first official loss on outdoor hard court since October 2019 (vs Tsitsipas in Shanghai).
  20. Terrible penalty shooting from Naeher is a much better GK overall, it was clearly on display today.
  21. I don't know anything about women's rugby but losing to Fiji in the 7s isn't exactly unexpected?
  22. But my point is not about the lack of TV/stream access but about lack of effort of US society. If someone wants to sleep at 3am rather than watch Olympics then it doesn't matter if NBC puts up 36 cable channels to broadcast everything. Maybe US society only wants to watch things at 6-8pm and that's the end of it. And I presume NBC would know about it for years already hence why they force to have swimming finals in the Asian morning times for instance.
  23. Yeah, that makes sense too. Dressel/Ryan Murphy are no Phelps/Lochte. And Katie Ledecky is no Missy Franklin (who had one breakout Games and got more coverage in 12 months than Ledecky had as the best middle distance swimmer of the last 5 years). And now even Ledecky has underperformed. This also suggests US audience cares about the big stars and doesn't really care about feel good stories of bland personalities. More LeBron James and less Tim Duncan
  24. But if NBC gives the audience what they want then the viewers drop makes no sense? Because that suggests NBC doesn't give the people what they want. Unless US people don't bother to watch SOG at 3am in the morning no matter what happens and in this case nothing will stop the ratings drop.
  25. It's too late to cry over spilled milk now. IOC made their decision and Daily Mail won't change it. WA is run by a chief no less and even Coe didn't have Russia thrown out of the athletics part either which is kinda hilarious given how British press wants them out. Dare I say Coe is more powerful than UK media too?
