  5. Eurosport Nordic has chosen not to buy tv-rights to any winter sport competition in Switzerland. I guess it's a question about money. At least German and Swedish television show every winter sport competition from Switzerland.
  6. Always annoying that Eurosport doesn't have the rights to show races from Switzerland. Oh well, at least German and Swedish television have rights to show Women's Super-G.
  7. 16 November, according to athletics integrity unit. https://www.athleticsintegrity.org/disciplinary-process/provisional-suspensions-in-force
  8. A quick update from the Danish badminton conflict. The players meet today to discuss yesterday's statement from Badminton Denmark. After today's meeting, the players still fully support Mads Oeland as their negotiator. "I just have to confirm that the positions and the mandate of Mads Oeland are backed 100 percent by our players. He has not done one thing or put a comma for which we do not stand. Whom we choose must stand for our bill. Then you can discuss whether it's a good or bad choice. I do not want to be in the media", says Jan O. Joergensen. "It's a bit childish that they try to ask who negotiates for us. We have tried to accommodate them on some points, and we have had some constructive negotiations so far. We stand together as a group, and we stand for everything Mads Oeland and the Player Association convey further", elaborates Anders Skaarup.
  9. It's like a social justice warrior league. Here's their logo:
  10. A new american football league has been created with the name, Freedom Football League. Their will be 10 teams, who will play their games in spring and summer. Former NFL players such as Ricky Williams and Terrell Owens are behind it. In a press release it is said that players will be encouraged to “address society’s challenges relating to social justice, wealth disparity, health and wellness and more hot-button issues they are passionate about.” The league’s first 10 teams will be the Birmingham Kings, Connecticut Underground, Florida Strong, Oakland Panthers, Ohio Players, Oklahoma City Power, Portland Progress, St. Louis Independence, San Diego Warriors and Texas Revolution. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-football-nfl-freedom-football-league/ex-nfl-star-williams-behind-new-freedom-football-league-idUSKBN1O52DL
  11. No other results are important. Only results from the legendary WCH in Ashgabat count.
  12. European youth champion, Dayana Dimitrova, receives a life ban from competing in international weightlifting after her second doping offense since April 2017. The Bulgarian weightlifting federation said that the 18-year-old Bulgarian had used a banned diuretic while training privately. Her coach said she had used the drug to lose weight before the competition in Poland. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-weightlifting-bulgaria/fresh-blow-for-bulgaria-as-youth-champion-banned-for-life-over-doping-idUSKBN1O61RL Well that was a long international weightlifting career for Dimitrova.
  13. Great to see two teams who didn't play to draw it, but to win it. (Though not great for my prediction. A draw would have been better. )
  14. Maybe he's trying to top his form for WCH in Östersund? He could also be tired from yesterday's tough conditions. Or he is getting old.
  15. Australia is secured first place. If they draw, Ireland will be second and England third. If there is a winner, the winnner will be second and the loser fourth.
  16. I'm expecting a draw between Ireland - England coming up.
  17. The two matches between Sweden-France and Serbia-Russia will be rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday. 20. No it happened 1 year, or 12 months, or 52 weeks, or 365 days, or 8.760 hours, or 525.600 minutes, or 31.536.000 seconds ago.
  21. Update from the Danish Badminton conflict. The Board of Badminton Denmark has chosen not to continue negotiating beacuse they can't accept the leader of the Players' Association, Mads Oeland. According to Badminton Denmark the reason why they won't continue to negotiate with Mads Oeland is that they received "threats" about compensation for the missed training sessions in the Elite center. Other "threats": - Threats to open negotiations outside of Badminton Denmark with federal sponsors. - Requirements for continuation of the elite program in unchanged form, even if there is no applicable collective agreement between the parties. - Badminton Denmark does not want to negotiate a new collective national team agreement with a gun for the forehead. - The only reaction Badminton Denmark has received from the Players' Association in the last 14 days is two mails on Friday 30 November. The two mails contain, among other things, threats regarding the submission of claims for compensation due to the suspension of the elite program, and threats to open negotiations outside of Badminton Denmark with the federal sponsors, as well as requirements for continuation of the elite program in unchanged form. They say it's not a healthy way of negotiating. Badminton Denmark will try to negiotiate with the players through the Players' Council, instead of the Players' Association. This is all of course from Badminton Denmark's perspective. We haven't heard anything from Mads Oeland or the players yet.
  22. With Fourcade's dominance for the men, there need to be a bit of balance in the biathlon world.
