And the 2025 Skateboarding World Championships will take place...Next week  I have added them to the 2025 World Championships list.

Last night, I had the privilege to see my first live curling matches.  The USA National Championships were just 1.5 hours away from where I live (not bad in a country the size of ours, and even more surprising since I live in an area where it rarely snows).  I got to visit the 'page final' (i.e. first playoff round), the highlight of which for me was Team Shuster vs. Team Stopera.  Team Stopera ended up winning by 1 point, but Shuster will be able to play one final match this morning to see if they can make it to the finals this afternoon (the winner of which will qualify to Worlds).  None of the current Olympians were there, having declined their spot in the tournament.

Yeah, we will to a point all federations will be WA, WC, WR etc. WC and WR are even worst because they have always meant "World Cup" and "World Record"

Also changing main global federations name is not good.
Remember, under WA we now have at least World Athletics, World Aquatics and World Archery, which was first.

Federations need to stop with this. Felt like we had more and more sports with a regular World Cup circuit, but now they're changing in to World Tour or World Series and it's all getting different names again.
 
Just call your main series of competitions World Cup and make life easy. But sure, I'll be following these World Cup Series

Good point! I had totally forgot about that. And back in 2022 we still had national threads instead of clubs, so we have surely had a huge increase of replies in club's threads comparing to the old national threads (and the Canadian club was the most active one by far).

Hey guys, just came by to let you know it was tough to see the Hockey final and I guess you are quite disappointed by Canada's overall performances in these Olympics. But huge congrats to @Topicmaster1010 and all users to make this club so active during the Games, it was by far the most active club of the Olympics.
 
Keep up the amazing job and now that the Olympics are over, let's focus on LA28!

With the end of yet another Olympic Games comes the time of my traditional round-up of the activity in the forum. And we have a new record for a Winter Games, at least when it comes to the last 3 editions. 
 
One factor is that we had them back in Europe in a much more convenient time zone for many users, than the last two, which were in Asia.
 
Also having stuff before the Opening Ceremony plays a big factor, as Curling took advantage of the concentration of eyes early on. Having the largest program in sessions helps as well.

The document says "The qualification events are listed in chronological order of qualification". So the Continental Championship have priority and if the team is already qualified, the next best team should qualify through the World Championship.
