No doubt the finals will be, but the semi-finals are normally not shown...I had hoped it might be different for the world champs, but I guess not.
I'm looking everywhere. Seriously it's like they're trying to keep it secret or something

Is the team sprint not on Eurosport? Can't seem to find it on Czech TV website either..

Colombia
Still unbelievable that the Brazilian federation chose not to let their women compete in the teamsprint. They could easily have let Bruna stay a couple of days (she arrived back home in Brazil yesterday morning) so she could compete with Mourão here.
We would have seen Bruna again
But at least we got to see her in the qualification and the sprint. Is she happy about the way things went? I should think so!

I guess I'll carry the Czech flag for this one. Dont live there or follow their music much, but I like this song quite a bit.

Bjoergen trolls her way to another gold.
For how long does she plan to do this? Another 10 years?
What else could you expect?
Good result from Berouskova, 27th place, WC points.

At the curling events, they had a 'Scottish' band...

Ah, I see. I actually tried that with my own roller skates few years ago, and I think I learned the skating technique rather well, considering that I used some odd wooden poles.
I even tried the classic technique with that.
Hahaha
Well if I do end up staying in NZ then rollerskates it is lol

Classic technique can most definitely be learned on rollerskis
I meant on rollerskates

I think just the regular roller skates and poles can do a trick. At least in the early stages.
Good point Problem with that though is I'd rather buy one thing and stick with it as much as possible. Money is quite limited, and I don't own rollerskates of my own.
Also good luck learning classic technique like that... oh god. Maybe I can become like the Montenegrins and only ski freestyle lol
Guess for now I'll just go to the gym, I have a membership which is paid for anyway.

Julius Yego learned javelin throwing through watching YouTube videos and became world champion, come on, 'there are no courses' is no excuse
The expenses are the harder part then, but if I were you I'd seriously consider putting a few dollars and/or euros aside each month so you can buy yourself some decent equipment when you're back in Europe
That is true! Great inspiration, he is. Not necessarily just sportswise.
If possible, I do have quite a bit in savings, though that's mostly going towards university or travel. There should definitely be some things I can put aside, we'll have to wait and see. I do plan to get to a place with snow eventually, hopefully America or Europe for college.
Have you ever thought about skiing? Do you actually have ties to Brazil? Or are you just a big fan

Get yourself some rollerskis now then and start working on the technique
They're not even that expensive and as long as you've got a decent road somewhere, you can go out and train
I thought about that. But well $200 min plus shipping to New Zealand... Keep in mind I'm still in highschool!
And there isn't really anybody in my city who runs courses for this sort of thing.

I actually went and wrote the Israeli Ski Federation- they said that if I fund myself and get Israeli citizenship (which I am eligible for) they will give me a platform to race in FIS races, and start funding me if I get 'elite'.
Time to hit the gym. And I might move to the Northern Hemisphere in the next year.

Solano's performance has gone viral in Spain; his video is in every TV show or zapping.
It was on Czech national news as well. The BBC, ESPN and all the major news networks are reporting about this. Unreal.

Pažout isn´t competing he had the shortest jumps of the czechs 5 during training sessions, so he was replaced by Vytrval for todays race. btw the czechs have the youngest team here 3 of the 4 guys starting today are among 7 youngest athletes competing in Nordic Combined at Lahti 2017 what a prospects for bright future
And yeah we've really worked on our junior team! It's great to see, we have a strong base of athletes in the continental cups. I was a bit worried at first when the Churavy/Slavik generation died out, but we seem to be heading in the right direction. Hoping for good results in Pyongchang and here, particularly in the team sprint.

Oh you're right.. Hah. I assumed Pazout just because he's generally had better results. Surprises me a little.
Does Slovakia have any athletes at all?
-
Here we go
See if Germany could do a 1-2-3. Hoping Portyk and Dvorak can make top 15 or 20, Pazout and Danek maybe top 35?
-
Damn Solano. Wanted to see the Ecuadorians
Also there was another Venezuelan (only!) 5 minutes faster than Solano.

Ah, missed that. Thanks

Oh and Paul Bragiel is that American entrepreneur who failed to qualify for Sochi for Colombia. Looks like he's back...

I wake up and read all of this... If someone posts a replay on YouTube I will be eternally grateful

I think based on last year it's top 2 from each heat by right and then 6 fastest times. So Czechs aren't out of it yet, we just need one of the teams in the next heat to have a crisis of sorts. Since Novakova and Barton aren't racing (our best male and female sprinters respectively) any final would be a success.
