But since this was only CSI2*-W level, he still needs to repeat it at another competition...

Ukraine? Seriously?

Does he have the slightest chance to keep the quota?

If he repeats this performance at another competition before June 20. It's possible.

Awful.

Kasheer was NOT allowed to be competed this weekend (mandatory rest period of 10 days). Curious how Usman Khan started ignoring this mandatory rest rule only after his qualification became mathematically impossible. I'm sure he knew exactly what he was doing.

FEI takes equal blame, as they were supposed to monitor all entries "for the welfare of the horse" (their own words).

Hopefully a lengthy ban coming for the Pakistani rider (and this Frederique Reffet person).

What a mess.

For me it is big mistake also for FEI, because many riders want to make this MER standards and try starting very often.

I am sure that Ukraine won't confirmed MER. In equestrian we may have only 1 quota in dressage

    • How wonderful!   I met the national rowing (and beach rowing) coach of EST/LTU/LAT on the way to ice hockey one day, who's Canadian by the way. I also flew home on the same flight as JC Schoonmaker's mom and friends, so we chatted for a bit.
    • Yea I only used transit besides this Uber / bus to the airport and back. All the venues were at the end of the line, so it allowed you to speak with other fans/volunteers etc. I even met Corrine Stoddard's mom after the first session of short track on the way back, and told her to remember our conversation if she won a medal later in the Olympics. We know how that ended up...
    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
