This all has the feeling of a local youth competition or something, in some basically empty hall with a few tiny stands (which at least have people on it).

Bad second 500m for Kodaira, leaving Ter Mors with a very good chance to take the world title (first Dutch since Marianne Timmer in 2004). 

 

Not much later the reason for Kodaira's bad race was revealed: she is sick and has withdrawn from the 1000m

 

With that, the title is sadly already decided as long as Ter Mors stays on her feet.
