288 kgs is not huge in the 67 kilos but i think that this is a pb and an improvement of over 15 kgs on his gold medal youth olympics perf .....      so really ? ....... and he is just 16 ...... i think a huge prospect but for 2024

Yes he is not an serious prospect for 2020. He is basically for 2024. He needs to be treated cautiously.

288 is not medal prospect but with restrictions on number of starters per country, it gives him a decent chance of qualifying for Tokyo. Also, puts other Indian male lifters on notice, considering that we are already capped at 2 + 2 lifters, any more doping positives can further reduce it to 1 lifter only. 

 

He lifted 274kg for Youth Olympic Gold but that was in 62kg category.
