Indian pair of Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker finished at 7th among 8 teams in the 10 m air pistol mixed event qualification stage 2.They failed to qualify for the medal matches.

the underachievers tag that we carry continues. shooters have been the biggest disappointment of these games. Sad to see, these bunch of shooters are not limited in skill, talent or facilities. Infact they are more privileged than the shooters from yesteryear. Yet, the results are out of sight.

We should be lucky if we can get close to our tally in London.

I don't buy the sentimental excuse of age when an athlete underperforms.First of all this olympics has seen a lot of under 20 podium finishers. Secondly, the government spends a hefty sum on these athletes from our tax money. So athletes must take responsibility for the country
